The appointment of the supervisor is mandatory in the PSARA license to regulate the work of security guards.

Validity and renewal of PSARA license in Hyderabad

The business entity which gets the PSARA license is valid for five years. The renewal can be done after every five years. The license should be renewed based on the business need to continue the business.

Penalties for the security agencies that operate without a valid PSARA license in Hyderabad

According to the Act, the license is mandatory for every private security agency in India. A person or business entity functioning without the valid PSARA License must have to pay the following legal Penalties,

• A business entity operating without a valid PSARA License shall be imprisoned for up to one year and a fine of Rs.25,000/- or both.
• If the business fails to renew the license after expiry, then the punishment will be the same as the new license.
• If the private security guard or supervisor uniform is unauthorised by the guidelines provided in the Act, then they shall be punished with imprisonment or fine, or both, the imprisonment can be extended up to 1 year, and the fine can be extended up to Rs.5000
