Step 5: Issuance of PSARA License: Where the application for PSARA is accompanied by a NOC/No Objection Certificate from the Police after verification done by the Police, the Authority will examine the application & then proceed to either issue the PSARA License in Form-IV/reject the same, as the case may be.

Conditions in which your PSARA Application may get Rejected

Your PSARA application may get rejected if the Government sees it unfit for the betterment of the general public. If the proposed Director of the Security agency lies under any of the following categories, it will lead to disqualification:

  • An individual or an entity shouldn't be one who has been convicted of any crime for which the prescribed punishment is imprisonment, not less than 2 years.
  • An individual or entity shouldn't be the one that is convicted of an offence of forming, promoting, or managing a Company which is included in an undischarged insolvent.
  • A Firm, Company, or Association not registered in India, has a proprietor or significant Shareholder, Partner or Director who is not an Indian Citizen, is not considered for the issuance of the PSARA License under the provided Act.

Compliance as per the PSARA

Under the PSARA guidelines, the PSAs or Private Security Agencies must follow some compliance as follows:

  1. All PSAs must hire supervisors to supervise the working of guards appointed in the Organisation;
  2. Private Security Agencies are obliged to train the security guards appointed in their firm;
  3. The Private Security Agencies need to follow every criteria, qualification & disqualification specified under the PSARA;
  4. As per PSARA, Security Guards must follow the prescribed uniform policy;
  5. Private Security Agencies must give priority to ex-defence candidates having 3 years of experience.
