Eligibility Criteria under PSARA in Jharkhand

Eligibility criteria for companies / Directors or Principal Officers / Security guards

  • Any LLP/one-person company can get the PSARA license
  • Any Partnership firm/ sole proprietorship can apply for a license
  • The applicant must be an Indian and attained the age of 18
  • The applicant should possess a good financial background to bear the cost of the business
  • The applicant had never been convicted by an eligible court for any offence
  • The security officer should be above the age of 18 years and below 65 years.
  • The applicant should provide a character certificate on the application

Documents that are necessary to obtain a PSARA license in Jharkhand

Although the Documents may vary from state to state, below are some standard Documents you would require to attach along with the application.

  • Company PAN card
  • Company GST, EPF certificate
  • Company ESIC registration certificate
  • Guard uniform four side photo
  • All director's income tax returns
  • Security Training certificate of all directors

The process involved in obtaining a PSARA license in Jharkhand

Qualifying Documents

The foremost step in PSARA License is collecting and verifying every Document before filing the application.

MOU with a training institute

The applicants should mandatorily sign an MOU with a training institute or organization that works as per the guidelines of the respective state controlling authority with the motive to impart training to private security agencies.

Police verification

Form – I is provided for an applicant to apply for police verification. The checking criteria may differ depending on the applications.

Application Submission

After getting the NOC from the concerned Police authority, the PSA controlling authority may either provides the license or denies with an explanation.

Validity of PSARA license in Jharkhand

The PSARA License is valid for 5 years. It is not permanent. The license can be subject to renewal based on the requirement of the security agency.

Suspension and cancellation of PSARA license in Jharkhand

As per the PSARA Act, 2005, the verifying authority of PSA can suspend and cancel the PSARA licenses if the following conditions are satisfied.

  • If the security agency misused its Documents to get the license
  • Using a forgery agency name to obtain the license
  • If any private security agency fails to comply with the PSAR Act.

  • A person or entity should not be the one that is convicted for an un-discharged insolvent.
  • If the applicant is found keeping links with an organization or firm that the government bans
