Overview of ISO 2768-1 Standard
The ISO 2768-1 standard measures the level of discrepancy that shall be tolerated in mechanical equipment. The ISO 2768-1 standard was developed by the technical committee of the ISO in 1989 to delineate the level of discrepancy which shall be tolerated in measures of mechanical equipment. The standard form is built to simplify the tolerances for angular and linear dimensions for mechanical equipment. Accuracy is highly desirable while producing mechanical equipment; however, there is always room for human error and some discrepancy in the measures pertaining to a piece of equipment. ISO has laid down details pertaining to the acceptable level of tolerance to errors in such equipment. Businesses dealing with the production of mechanical equipment can get the ISO 2768-1 certification to stay within the acceptable angular and linear dimensional ranges to create an accurate product.
