Sections 4(4) of Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act of 1974 & Section 6 of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act of 1981, PCB may transfer all or all of its powers and functions as a State Board in a UT under the aforementioned Acts to any person or body of persons designated by the Central Government.
