On 02nd January 2023, the Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE) issued a notification in regard to the Due Minimum Benefit to be paid from the EDLI Fund to Eligible Family Members with reference to Gazette Notification no. GSR 299(E) issued on 28th April 2021, concerning the EDLI Scheme, 1976.
In reference to the G.S.R 170 (E) issued on 15th February 2018, where the provisions of minimum assurance benefits of INR 2.5 Lakhs was introduced in the Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme (EDLI) Scheme, the provisions were valid only for a period of two years from the date of publication of the scheme in the Official Gazette.
