On 15th November 2022, the Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO) issued an “Expression of Intrest (EOI)” to empanel a Third-Party Inspecting Agency under the Gas Cylinders Rules, 2016 under the authorisation of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
The EOI states that PESO intends to empanel Third-Party Inspection Agencies (TPIA) that secure a National & International repute for performing design appraisal, witnessing proto-type testing and lot inspection of Gas Cylinders, Valves and Regulators under the authorisation of Gas Cylinders Rules, 2016. Organisations that fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria are permitted for submitting applications for empanelment and recognition as Third-Party Inspection Agencies (TPIA).
