On 25th November 2022, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) issued an Order regarding the Directions under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 regarding the re-operationalization of Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Business) Amendment Regulations, 2021.
Through the exercise of powers as conferred under Section 92 of the Food Safety and Safety Standards Act, 2006 (34 of 2006), FSSAI framed the Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Business) Amendment Regulations, 2018, which the Food Authority approved via the meeting held on 21st September 2017.
