On 11th August 2022, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, issued an order in regard to the (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2022 for Footwear Made from all Rubber and all Polymeric Material and its Components.
In accordance with the exercise of powers authorised in Section 16 to be read with Section 25 Sub-Section (3), Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016), the Central Government of India, along with the consultation of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), issued the opinion that it was deemed necessary or expedient in regard o the interest of the public where the amendment is enacted for Footwears produced from Rubber and all other Polymeric Materials along with its Components (Quality Control) Order, 2022, which states –
- The Order is named the “Footwear Made from all Rubber and all Polymeric Material and its Components (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2022”.
- The Order is to come into effect from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
