The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) is a self-governing regulatory agency established by the Delhi Government on June 1, 1991, and overseen by the Central Pollution Control Board. The Central Pollution Control Board has delegated to the DPCC all of its powers and functions. It is an organisation whose major goal is to raise awareness about sustainable development by improving the "environment quality" of the National Capital Region with the help of all stakeholders.

What are the Functions of DPCC?

DPCC Classification & Categories

According to the list, Delhi's industries have been grouped into four categories: red, orange, green, and white, signifying the classification of 649 industries under the new standards.

The Air & Water Act requires industries in the Red, Orange, and Green categories to apply for Consent to Establish (CTE) and Consent to Operate (CTO). White-category industries are exempt from obtaining consent to build and operate; instead, they must notify the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) within 30 days of beginning operations with an undertaking.

• Orange Category- 73 Industries
• Red Category- 253 Industries
• Green Category- 120 Industries
• White Category- 203 Industries
