• An importer shall file an application to obtain the license from SPCB
• Within 30 days of receiving the application, the state pollution control board will forward it with suggestions and necessary conditions for safe transportation and processing.
• The state government will provide an import permit if the importer submits a valid consent letter from the exporting country's relevant authorities, along with an authenticated copy.

Validity of the authorization for import of scrap material

The certificate of authorization for importing scrap materials shall be valid for five years.
