The head office of the Coffee Board of India is in Bangalore. It was established under Coffee Act VII in 1942. The Coffee Board License is issued for the exporters of the coffee as per Rule 44(2) of the Coffee Act 1942.

Filing of Application
The applicant files an application and provides mandatory details and supporting Documents while applying for Coffee Board License.
Verification of application
The Coffee Board officials verify the application and Documents attached to it. In the case of any dispensaries, the application is rejected, and a notice regarding the same is sent to the applicant.
Issue of License
If the application is approved, then the Coffee Board issues the License to the applicant.

The License issued by the Coffee Board is valid for three years from the date of its grant. The applicant has to file an application for renewal of the Coffee Board License with the following self-attested Documents:

The Coffee Board License issued to an exporter is neither transferable nor inheritable.
The Coffee Board License is issued under Rule 44(2) Coffee Act 1942, amended from time to time, along with a Certificate of Origins against the application of coffee exporters for the export of Indian Coffee.
