The primary objective of the Coffee Board is to enhance the production, productivity and quality of Indian Coffee and to bring exports of Indian coffee to various destinations worldwide.
The head office of the Coffee Board of India is in Bangalore. It was established under Coffee Act VII in 1942. The Coffee Board License is issued for the exporters of the coffee as per Rule 44(2) of the Coffee Act 1942.

Coffee Board License Procedure
The procedure for a Coffee Board License is as follows:
- Filing of Application
The applicant files an application and provides mandatory details and supporting documents while applying for Coffee Board License.
- Verification of application
The Coffee Board officials verify the application and documents attached to it. In the case of any dispensaries, the application is rejected, and a notice regarding the same is sent to the applicant.
- Issue of License
If the application is approved, then the Coffee Board issues the License to the applicant.
