It is allocated by the Central Government, which has the validity of a lifetime. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DIN or Director Identification Number is person-specific, for example, if a person is a director in two or more companies, he only needs to obtain one DIN. Furthermore, it should be verified digitally by a Company Secretary\/ Managing director\/ CEO or CFO of the company<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After completing the application form and uploading all documents, you need to submit the requisite fees. Only electronic payment of the fee for the eForm DIR 3 is allowed, i.e. through net banking\/ credit card\/ pay later\/Neft, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After submission, your application is sent for verification. If your application is successfully verified then your application will be accepted, otherwise, it will be rejected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finally, upon successful acceptance of your application, your DIN will be generated and issued to you for further use. &nbsp;&nbsp; <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Generation\nof DIN<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After the application is\nsubmitted after paying the\napplication fee, the system shall generate an application number. It is on the Central Government to process the application, verify it and decide\nwhether to approve or reject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Approval<\/strong>&#8211; within 1 month of the approval of the DIN application the same shall be communicated by the central\ngovernment to the applicant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rejection<\/strong>&#8211; In case of\nDIN application getting rejected the same shall be sent via e-mail with the proper mentioned reasons behind rejection to the\napplicant and the same\nshall be intimated by uploading\nthe reason on the website. The applicant shall be given 15 days to rectify the mistakes. Only if he\nrectifies those\nreasons and if the Central\nGovernment is satisfied with the same then he will be allotted his DIN or else the central government application shall be labelled as INVALID. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Intimating_DIN_to_company\"><\/span>Intimating\nDIN to company<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The director has to\nintimate about his DIN\nwithin one month after getting the DIN from the central government to all the companies where he is at the\nposition of director. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company is obliged to intimate about the DIN within 15 days from such intimation about the DIN from the director to the Registrar of the Company. In case of failure of such intimation by the director to the company or by the company to Registrar shall attract penalties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_can_be_the_reasons_for_the_rejection_of_the_application\"><\/span>What can be the reasons for the rejection of the\napplication?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes the\napplication gets rejected by the issuing body due to the following mistakes\ncommitted by the applicants;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Non- submission of the following documents:\n<ul>\n<li>Proof of identity of the applicant<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A Proof of the father\u2019s name of the applicant<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proof of date of birth of the applicant<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proof of residential address of the applicant<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy of passport not submitted {for foreign nationals}<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Invalid application or documents:\n<ul>\n<li>Invalid or expired documents<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any submitted document which is not issued by a government authority<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Application\/enclosed evidence containing handwritten entries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Duplicate application<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Application without a photograph of the applicant not affixed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Signature not affixed on the prescribed place<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Name of the person does not match with the name in the enclosed evidence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicant\u2019s date of birth does not match with the one mentioned in the enclosed evidence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mismatch in the father\u2019s name of the applicant&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mismatch in the mentioned Address between the application and in the enclosed evidence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gender not mentioned correctly in Form DIR 3<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supporting  documents are not self-attested<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Fees_for_obtaining_DIN\"><\/span>\n\nFees for obtaining DIN\n\n\n\n<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The prescribed fee for\nobtaining Director Identification Number {DIN} is Rs. 500.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conclusion\"><\/span>Conclusion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Director Identification\nNumber is an 8 digit unique identification code that serves as an identity\nproof of a director in a company.
