Since the Indian economy is rapidly growing and contributing to global trade, the minister urged the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) to focus mainly on quality. The minister said the BIS has a huge role in increasing economic growth, including enhancing the \u2018Made in India\u2019 label and establishing the Brand Bharat globally. The minister stated that over 22,300 standards are in force today, and 94% of Indian standards are being harmonized with the International Organization for Standardization (ISE) standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 14th October, 2024, The Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food, Public Distribution, and New and Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi, underlined the essential need to deliver top-quality products and services to the citizens as the nation aims to become the world\u2019s third-largest economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Institute of Training for Standardization in Noida hosted the event on World Standards Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The well-being of the consumers depends primarily on their access to high-grade products, along with the growth and profitability of the industry. It is associated with the demand for high-quality goods,” said the Union Minister. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
