The\nmechanism used shall meet all the fire safety standards and guidelines issued\nby the Bureau of Indian Standards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The India\nFire Department, after inspection, when finds that the standards used are as\nper the expectation, it issues a NOC (No Objection Certificate) for the\nbuilding (Commercial or Residential) of the applicant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The NOC\nis issued by the respective state &#8216;Fire Service Department, &#8216; which performs a similar\nfunction i.e., The department verifies and inspects the building fire\nresistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Causes_of_Fire_Accidents\"><\/span>Causes of Fire Accidents<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Various reasons can cause fire accidents. Before the introduction of a new Act, it was regulated by the Delhi Fire Prevention and <strong><em>Fire Safety Act, 1986<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"shadow1\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> Now, the provisions concerning fire safety in Delhi are governed by the Delhi Fire Services Act, 2007, and Delhi Fire Service Rules, 2010.<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"India_Fire_Department_NOC_%E2%80%93_Application_Procedure\"><\/span>India Fire Department NOC &#8211; Application Procedure<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>An applicant can apply either online or offline for obtaining the India Fire Department NOC. For filling the online application, an applicant can apply through the official website of the respective state. Apply for Fire NOC<\/a><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Documents_required_for_filing_the_application\"><\/span>Documents required for filing the application <span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The\napplication (In case of both online and offline application) shall be\naccompanied by the following documents-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Sets of Building plan consisting of Building\nLayout Plan, which includes a site plan, layout plan, and Building model.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Certificate of Building stability and Building\nmodel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A duly certified Checklist by the Architect. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicant\u2019s Id and Address Proof.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Photograph of the building.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Completion certificate of electrical wiring<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For\nobtaining the India Fire Department NOC, the relevant application, along with\nthe above-mentioned documents, shall be forwarded by the CFO officer to the\ninspector of the respective state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once\nthe document is forwarded by the CFO to the inspector. The inspector will pay a\nvisit to the premise and inspect the equipment necessary for fire safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After\ninspecting all the fire standards, the inspector of the fire brigade of the\nrespective state shall issue the NOC Fire Department. The validity of the India\nFire Department NOC, In the case of the commercial building, it shall remain\nvalid for 3 years and 5 years in case of a residential building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Types_of_No_Objection_Certificate_issued_by_the_authority\"><\/span>Types of No Objection Certificate issued by the authority<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Provisional Certificate <\/strong>&#8211; Once\nthe evaluation of fire and life&nbsp;<strong>safety measures<\/strong> is done by the inspector, the<strong>&nbsp;fire department<\/strong>&nbsp;recommends\nan applicant to install certain fire and life safety mechanisms. The department\nissues a <strong>Provisional<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>NOC<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Provisional&nbsp;<strong>NOC is a fire safety<\/strong>certificate\nissued by the department temporarily, subject to the compliance made by the\napplicant as per the recommendation made to him. Provisional NOC has validity\nfor a certain period in which the applicant needs to prepare to comply with the\nrecommendations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Final NOC &#8211; <\/strong>An\napplicant needs to apply to the <strong>fire prevention<\/strong>&nbsp;authority to inspect the\nimplementations. After inspection, the authority will test and certify that the\napplicant is following the recommendations, and all installations are\nfunctioning in satisfactory condition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"shadow1\">It is important to note that the applicant has adhered to the recommendations necessary for obtaining the Fire NOC.<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>On finding\nthe installations working in satisfactory conditions, the fire department will Issue\na Final&nbsp;<strong>NOC, which shall be valid<\/strong>&nbsp;for\n1 year from the date of issue. It must be renewed every year by applying to the<strong>&nbsp;India Fire Department.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Takeaway\"><\/span><strong>Takeaway<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Fire accidents are something that is not in\nanyone\u2019s hands.
