Employees&#8217; Provident Funds (EPF) was the name given to it. The Employees&#8217; Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act governs this savings plan. The Employees&#8217; Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is in charge of the Scheme. All businesses with more than 20 employees are covered by the EPF. A set portion of the employee&#8217;s salary should go towards providing for their registration with the provident fund. Equal funds from the employer should also be contributed. Many organizations are required to make contributions, but some are exempt from doing so and must instead manage their own private PF trust. The PF Trust has been given\npermission by the EPFO to manage the employees&#8217; provident funds. Members&#8217;\ncontributions should be sent to EPFO. Trusts are required to file yearly\nreports and settle PF amounts in cases such as death, retirement, resignation,\netc. In accordance with the information and payments received from the\nemployers, EPFO keeps track of PF accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Manual PF&nbsp;file transfer\nused to be done offline. Although not difficult, it took time because the\nemployer and EPFO officials had to verify several physical documents. You must\ncomplete Form 13 and provide all necessary documentation to HR at your previous\njob.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The previous employer will send\nyou a set of two letters, one addressed to the new employer and the other to\nEPFO, together with a cheque that includes the amount of your PF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After that, you use your UAN and\npassword to access into the EPFO portal to submit PF transfer requests on behalf\nof your previous employer. Since the PF trust is not fully integrated with\nEPFO, maintaining the funds on its own takes time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Online PF transfers are now\navailable thanks to Employees&#8217; Provident Fund organization. It has the ability\nto transfer funds back and forth between EPFO and trust. Employees are spared\nthe hassle of having to produce tangible documentation for the company to\nverify. The employer is required to confirm the same.<\/li><li>Connect UAN and Aadhaar.<\/li><li>Ensure that UAN has confirmed and authorized your KYC.<\/li><li>Check the site to see if both previous and new employers have registered their authorized digital signatures.<\/li><li>Ensure that EPFO has saved both the old and new PF numbers.<\/li><li>When filling out the transfer form online, make sure that your joining and departing dates coincide with those of your employer.<\/li><li>EPFO will only accept one member ID per transfer request.<\/li><li>Download Form 13 (the transfer claim form). Make sure to only enter the Member ID for the appropriate employer. Rejection will result from a mismatch.<\/li><li>Once everything is finished, click GET OTP to obtain a one-time password to your registered mobile number. To verify your identifications, enter the OTP.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be a completed PF\ntransfer request form accessible for download. The paperwork must be self-attested\nby the employee before being submitted in PDF format to the former employer for\napproval. The employer will receive an online notification describing the EPF\ntransfer request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The request for a Transfer PF\nfrom Trust to EPFO online should be digitally approved by the employer. Upon\nprior employer&#8217;s approval, the PF transfer will be made to the new account with\nthe current employer. Select Know Your Claim Status under the Services menu.<\/li><li>Choose the area or page for employees.<\/li><li>Pages for UAN and Captcha will open.
