Moreover, iCAT holds several accreditations from NABL (following ISO 17025:2005), the English VCA, the CAFE Sector Secretariat of the Ministry of Roads and Transport, and the <strong>Central Pollution Control Board<\/strong><sup><a class=\"text-primary\" href=\"https:\/\/cpcb.nic.in\/\"><strong>[1]<\/strong><\/a><\/sup> (CPCB) for testing and approving generators. This organisation, founded in 2006 in Manesar,\nHaryana, as part of the National Automotive Testing and R&amp;D Infrastructure\nProject (NATRiP), offers the automotive sector and related industries\nhigh-quality accreditation and certification services. As one of the\norganisations listed in Central Motor Vehicles Rule No. 126 for the issuance of\nType Approval Certificates (TAC) and Conformity of Production (COP)\nCertificates, it is responsible for the certification of all types of fossil\nand electric vehicles, mechanical and electrical auto parts, and various engine\ndevelopment and retrofitting parameters, including noise levels, component\nfatigue, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Automotive,\nRailroad, Defense, Consumer Electronics &amp; IT Products, Aviation, General\nLighting, and many other industries are among those that iCAT provides\nvalidation, testing, and design services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is\nthus always advisable to obtain <strong><a class=\"text-primary\" href=\"https:\/\/corpbiz.io\/icat-certification\">iCAT Certification<\/a><\/strong> if you are a producer planning\nto offer any of these items or types of equipment. It is one of the organisations included in CMV\nregulation 126&#8217;s notification for the issue of &#8220;TYPE APPROVAL CERTIFICATE\n(TAC)&#8221; and &#8220;CONFORMITY OF PRODUCTION (COP) Certificate.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Vehicle\n\u2022 Engine \u2022 Components \u2022 Retrofitment \u2022 Gensets<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vehicle<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>According\nto CMVR, 1989, ICAT can meet the certification needs of all vehicle types,\nincluding 2W, 3W, 4W, EVs, quadricycles, e-carts, tractors, e-rickshaws, buses,\ntrucks, and special purpose vehicles. Diesel engine emissions testing on an\nengine dynamometer is an option for cars weighing 2.5 to 3.5 tonnes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Components<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nCentral Government occasionally announces the safety requirements of any part,\ncomponent or assembly that will be utilised in the production of a vehicle\nthrough a publication in the Official Gazette. Safety features including horns,\nmirrors, lighting\/signalling devices, seats, etc., are reported following\nrelevant CMVR regulations. Such a rule details the Test Standard (AIS, BIS,\netc.) to the specified component or system must adhere. The component maker\nmust contact the testing agency to request the appropriate testing and\napproval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Retro fitment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Compressed\nnatural gas (CNG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), hybrid technology, and\nliquefied petroleum gas (LPG) are among the vehicle fuels that the Indian government\nhas approved for usage.
