PPE generally acts as a shield guard and protects against spread of\ngerms in the hospital. The importance of PPEs gained importance to the common\npeople during the time of COVID-19. It is a very common type which is used by every\n     doctor, dentist, and other clinical experts during the time of treatment\n     or surgery.<\/li><li><strong><em>Surgical\n     Masks<\/em><\/strong> to cover nose and mouth and\n     prevent viruses and infection, which can be easily transmitted to the\n     human body through cough droplets or sneezing or the contiguous droplets\n     carried in the air.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong><em>Clothing\n     kit <\/em><\/strong>with full body apron, head\n     covers and shoe cover. They are frequently used while performing surgeries\n     or treating patients affected by deadly viruses and also in case when\n     someone visits patients in isolation.<\/li><li><strong><em>Face\n     Shields and Clinical Eyewear<\/em><\/strong>\n     to protect the mucous membranes present in our eyes which get easily\n     affected from the blood or the bodily fluids. Transmissions can be in the form of\nphysical contact, cough droplets, droplets carried by air, airborne diseases,\nor by any contagious objects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per the guidelines\nlaid down by World Health Organization (WHO), patients and health workforce\nhave to follow certain principles (Infection Prevention and Control) to\nsafeguard against all the infectious diseases. Keeping in mind the seriousness\nof the diseases WHO ensures certain regulations regarding the safety of the\nworkforce and use of different PPE kits, depending on the type and nature of\nviruses. Over the recent years WHO have provided all the technical guidelines\nand made aware all the Healthcare workers about the usage of PPE&nbsp;and its\nadvantages.
