The\nprocess to register a logo trademark is explained below: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Registering\na Trademark on the Trademark Registry&#8217;s Website:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first step is to log in to the\naccount on the official portal of the trademark registry and register your\nlogo.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Trademark Search:<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Before registering a logo, the first\nand foremost step is to conduct a trademark search to see if the company name,\nbrand, or emblem is similar to any previously registered trademark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Filing of Trademark Application:<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After a trademark search is finished,\na brand name registration application can be submitted to the relevant\ntrademark registry. The trademark registration application must be submitted\nand approved, with the required supporting documentation and government fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Examination of Trademark Application:<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>When a brand name application is\nsubmitted to the trademark registry, competent examiners examine it to\ndetermine whether it meets the standards for trademark registration. If it\ndoes, then the brand name is subsequently published in the trademark journal\nfor public notice. However, according to the Trade Marks Act of 1999, the\napplication may be handled as objected under absolute grounds of denial or\nrelative grounds of refusal. A report on the examination will be produced in\nthat case. As required by the Trademark Registry, the objections or\ndiscrepancies submitted concerning the trademark application should be resolved\nwithin a specific time frame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Show Cause Hearing:<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Trademark Registry has the\nauthority to hold a trademark hearing if the response to the examination report\nis inappropriate. The trademark hearing notice will be sent to the address\nspecified in the application, as well as it will be uploaded to the portal. The\napplicant must appear in person or with a representative or attorney to present\nevidence supporting the application and ask the hearing officer to approve the\ntrademark application.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Publication of Logo in\nTrademark Journal:<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After examination, the trademark is\npublished in the Trade Marks Journal. There is a freezing period of four months\nduring which the application for logo registration remains open to\nopposition\/third parties. If a party files an opposition, the Registry shall\nconduct a hearing to ensure that the parties have sufficient grounds to\nestablish their claims. Considering the facts of the case and supporting\ndocuments, the Registrar of the appropriate trademark registry decides in\nfavour of either party to the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The trademark is then published in the\nTrade Marks Journal after it has been examined. The application for logo\nregistration has a four-month freeze period during which third parties can file\nan opposition. If a party files an objection, the Registry will conduct a\nhearing to ensure that the parties have sufficient grounds to support their\nclaims. Then the Registrar of the relevant Trademark Registry decides based on\nthe case&#8217;s facts and supporting documentation in favour of either party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Trademark Registration\n&amp; Certification:<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If no objections are\nreceived by the Registry within the time frame specified, your logo trademark\nis officially registered.
