The Manufacturer must demonstrate\nthat the Cement meets the requirements of this Standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Packing_Sampling_and_Marking_of_Ordinary_Portland_Cement\"><\/span>Packing, Sampling,\nand Marking of Ordinary Portland Cement<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Packing:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>&nbsp;The Cement shall be packed in any of the following bags:<\/strong><ul><li>Jute sacking bag conforming to IS 2580;<\/li><li>Jute synthetic union bags conforming to IS 12174;<\/li><li>Lightweight jute conforming to IS 12154;<\/li><li>HDPE or PP woven sacks conforming to IS 11652;<\/li><li>Multi-wall paper sacks conforming to IS 11761;<\/li><li>Any other approved composite bag.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Supplies of Cement in bulk may be made by arrangement between the Purchaser &amp; the supplier (Manufacturer or stockist);<\/li><li>When Cement is intended for Export &amp; if the Purchaser so requires, packing of Cement may be done in drums or bags with a net quantity of Cement per bag or drum as agreed to between the Manufacturer &amp; the Purchaser.<\/li><li>For this purpose, the permission of the Certifying Authority shall be obtained in advance for each export order.<\/li><li>The terms For Export and the new quantity of the Cement per drum or bag shall be clearly marked in an indelible link on each bag or drum.<\/li><li>The packing material shall be as agreed to between the Manufacturer &amp; the Purchaser.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Marking<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Each bag of Cement shall be legibly &amp; indelibly marked with the following:<ul><li>The name of the Manufacturer &amp; their registered Trademark;<\/li><li>The words Ordinary Portland Cement, 33 Grade;<\/li><li>Net quantity in Kg;<\/li><li>The words use no hooks;<\/li><li>Control or batch unit number in terms of the week, month &amp; year of packing;<\/li><li>Manufacturer address;<\/li><li>Type &amp; percentage of performance improver(s) added, in case of addition of performance improvers;<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Similar details shall be provided in the delivery advice accompanying the shipment of packed or bulk Cement &amp; on cement drums.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sampling<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>A sample or samples for testing\nmay be taken by their presentative or Purchaser or by any individual appointed\nto superintend the work for the purpose of which the Cement is needed by the\nlatter&#8217;s representative.<\/li><li>In addition to the requirements\nof the above point, the methods &amp; procedure of sampling shall be in\naccordance with IS 3535.<\/li><li>The samples shall be taken within\n3 week of the delivery &amp; all the tests shall be commenced within 1 week of\nsampling.<\/li><li>When it&#8217;s not possible to test\nthe samples within 1 week, the samples shall be packed &amp; stored in\nair-tight containers &amp; tested at the earliest but not later than 3 months\nfrom the receipt of samples for testing.<\/li><li>The supplier or the Manufacturer\nshall afford every facility &amp; PAN Card in case of a Sole\nProprietor;<\/li><li>Detailed information regarding\nfactory staff such as name, experience &amp; qualifications;<\/li><li>A flow chart showing the entire\nmanufacturing process;<\/li><li>Id proof of the AIR (Authorised\nIndian Representative) for Foreign Manufacturers only;<\/li><li>Details of the equipment used for\ntesting;<\/li><li>Certified copy of the reports\nfrom BIS-certified labs;<\/li><li>Copy of Company\u2019s Bank Statement.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Procedure_for_BIS_ISI_Certification_for_Ordinary_Portland_Cement\"><\/span>Procedure for BIS\nISI Certification for Ordinary Portland Cement<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Following\nis the procedure for BIS ISI Certification for Ordinary Portland Cement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 1: Selecting the Product\nCode<\/strong>: First, the Manufacturer needs to identify and\nchoose the ISI Standard Product Code for their product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2: Filing Application<\/strong>:\nAfter that, the next step is filing the application online. For that, the\napplicant needs to properly fill out the BIS Application Form.
