An Optical Disc Player uses laser light\nor electromagnetic waves that are either within or close to the visible\nspectrum of light in order to read and write data to or from Optical Discs.\nThis device is also known by other names, such as a disc drive, optical disc,\noptical storage, or even optical media. While in the past, certain Optical Disc\nPlayers could only read from certain discs, in more recent times, such devices\ncan both read and record data. DVDs, Blu-rays, and Compact Disc (CDs) are\nexamples of the type of media that can be read and recorded through Optical\nDisc Players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_BIS_CRS\"><\/span>What is BIS CRS?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As the National Standards Body of India, the Bureau of Indian Standards\nis charged with developing and publishing Indian Standards for specified\nproducts being manufactured in or imported into the country. The BIS is the\nbody responsible for granting CRS licenses to manufacturers that are found to\nbe in compliance with the specified Indian standards. As per the Compulsory\nRegistration Scheme, manufacturers must register the notified products in order\nto certify their quality, safety and reliability and to ensure they are\nconforming to the relevant standards. as per Format C<\/li><li>Then the required fees are\n     to be paid.<\/li><li>Hard\n     copies of the application form for the Certification must be submitted\n     along with the testing report copies within 15 days <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Procedure for Foreign\nManufacturers-<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Foreign manufacturers must\n     first appoint an AIR or Authorised Indian Representative<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The Authorized Indian\n     Representative starts the online application process. <\/li><li>The product samples being\n     registered need
