Gamma Picoline can both be\nisolated from coal tar and be synthesised industrially. It is soluble in water,\nether and alcohol. Gamma Picoline is used to manufacture pharmaceutical and\nagricultural products such as allergy medication or pesticides. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_an_ISI_Mark\"><\/span><strong>What is an ISI Mark?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ISI stands for the Indian\nStandards Institution. Established in 1995, ISI Mark refers to a standard\ncompliance mark for industrial products. This standard is developed and\nregulated by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the Indian national\nstandards body. The ISI Mark is the most reputable certification for products\nin India.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_get_a_BIS_ISI_Certification\"><\/span><strong>Why get a BIS ISI Certification?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The BIS ISI\nMark is meant to guarantee a product&#8217;s safety, reliability and quality. Hence,\nISI Certification gives products an edge above the rest in competitive markets.\nFurther, as is the case for Gamma Picoline, BIS ISI Certification for Gamma\nPicoline is mandatory for specific products. Failing to obtain <strong><a class=\"text-primary\" href=\"https:\/\/corpbiz.io\/isi-mark-certification\">ISI Certification<\/a><\/strong> for the Product can bring penalties and both foreign as\nwell as domestic manufacturers and sellers will be unable to sell, manufacture\nor import their products in India without the relevant BIS ISI Certification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Documents_Required_for_BIS_ISI_Certification_for_Gamma_Picoline\"><\/span><strong>Documents Required for BIS ISI Certification for Gamma\nPicoline<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Following is a list of documents that will be verified\nduring the factory visit-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>A self-evaluation\ncum the verification report in the proforma, as specified in Annexure-II<\/li><li>Details of Quality\nControl Personnel<\/li><li>Calibration\nCertificates of Testing Equipment are to be verified during the visit<\/li><li>Copies of Test\nCertificates of Raw Materials, as applicable<\/li><li>Drawing of a\nsample(s) of the Product\/item and\/or Components, as applicable<\/li><li>Report of Hygienic\nCondition, if applicable<\/li><li>Plant layout\nindicates the manufacturing area&#8217;s location, storage area for raw materials and\nfinished product or item, testing laboratory, etc.<\/li><li>Location Plan of the\nfactory<\/li><li>For all the tests\nwhich are permitted to be subcontracted &amp; not available with the\nmanufacturer, a copy of the agreement\/consent letter from the outside lab for\nwhich arrangement for subcontracting is made<\/li><li>The inspection and\nTest Plan proposed to be followed is different from the Bureau&#8217;s Scheme of\nInspection and Testing.<\/li><li>Undertaking for long-duration\ntests as per the template attached as Annexure-III, wherever applicable (refer\nto clause 4 (k) and 5 (g))<\/li><li>In the case of\noption 2(refer Sl. No. 4), undertaking, in accordance with the template\nattached as Annexure-IV (refer to clause 4 (l))<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Procedure_for_BIS_ISI_Certification_for_Gamma_Picoline\"><\/span><strong>Procedure for BIS ISI Certification for Gamma Picoline&nbsp;<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All Gamma Picoline products must\nhave the ISI Mark under the BIS regulations. Hence, manufacturers, sellers and\nimporters of Gamma Picoline products must receive ISI Mark to continue the\nsale, manufacture or import of such products in the country. Foreign\nmanufacturers of Gamma Picoline products must also comply with the specified\nIndian Standards to import their products for sale in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following factors are assessed to grant BIS ISI\nCertification for Gamma Picoline through a factory-visit to the manufacturing\npremises-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Manufacturing\ninfrastructure<\/li><li>Production process<\/li><li>Quality control<\/li><li>Testing capabilities<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A central laboratory, four\nregional laboratories and three branch laboratories have been set up throughout\nthe country by the BIS for the purpose of testing product samples. Third-party\ntesting may also be undertaken to establish that the Product is conforming to\nall relevant standards in order to grant ISI Certification for Gamma Picoline.\nAs of August 2022, the enforcement of the Quality Control Order has now been\nextended till 13 March, 2023 by the Government of India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants must apply for BIS ISI\nCertification for Gamma Picoline through their web portal online. Applicants\nmust submit their applications along with all relevant documents mentioned in\nthe application form under the BIS (Conformity Assessment) Regulations 2018 &#8211;\nScheme I. Following the application, the relevant BIS Officers or investigators\nwill conduct factory visits to ensure the manufacturing process complies with\nthe relevant standards. Third-party testing may be conducted to ensure the\nsafety, reliability and quality of the Product as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the Product in question is\nfound to be conforming to the Indian Standards, a BIS ISI Certification will\nthen be granted to the applicant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Rejection_of_Application_for_the_BIS_ISI_Certification_for_Gamma_Picoline\"><\/span><strong>Rejection of Application for the BIS\nISI Certification for Gamma Picoline<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The BIS may\nreject an application for the BIS ISI Certification for Gamma Picoline if it is\nfound to not conform to the specified Indian Standards. Some factors that could\nlead to the rejection of the application are as follows-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Samples not provided\nfor testing within 30 days of recording of the application.<\/li><li>The sample drawn fails\nin independent testing.<\/li><li>Lack of testing\nfacilities with the applicant.<\/li><li>Lack of technical\npersonnel with the applicant.<\/li><li>If corrective actions\nare not taken within the stipulated time period in discrepancy-cum-advisory\nreport<\/li><li>The firm hasn&#8217;t been\nclearing the financial dues to the Bureau.<\/li><li>The firm has tampered\nwith all the vital documents in connection with the issuance of the Licence.<\/li><li>The firm has involved\nin unethical practices in the context of the grant or operation of the licence.<\/li><li>The significant\ndeviation is observed from the declared manufacturing facility at the time of\nthe factory visit.<\/li><li>Failure of the firm to\nprovide all assistance to the certification officer in connection with carrying\nout factory visits.<\/li><li>If non-conformity in\nfactory testing is found repeated during the 2nd factory visit. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conclusion\"><\/span><strong>Conclusion<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The ISI Mark, developed and regulated by the Bureau of Indian Standards, is the most reputable certification for products in India. The certification exists to certify the safety, quality and reliability of products and ensure that the production of notified goods complies with Indian Standards.
