The gas stove must be constructed &amp; designed as per the Standard. It&#8217;s a recognised\nCertification mark that verifies the quality of a product in India. In India,\nISI comes with 2 different schemes of Registration, i.e., Mandatory\nRegistration and Voluntary Registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ISI Mark is essential for the Certification of products for sale in India and is mandatory to obtain. To be eligible for ISI Certification, the BIS criteria should be duly met by the requisite manufacturing company. The request for a test must be generated from the MANAK portal to any BIS-certified lab for the designated Standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nlab performed all the tests in accordance with the testing parameters mentioned\nunder the IS and generated the test report. The same reports are uploaded by\nthe certified BIS lab on the online portal, using which the applicant or the\nmanufacturer files the application for Registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2: Filing of the\nApplication<\/strong>: Once the lab submits the test reports,\nthe applicant can file the application form as per the test report generated.\nIt is compulsory to upload all the vital documents along with the details asked\nin the application. Once the applicant fills up all the details and uploads all\nthe vital documents, then the applicant is required to pay the requisite fees\nto the Department to submit the file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 3: Inspection<\/strong>:\nAfter submitting the application and documents, the BIS Officials will verify\nall the documents, details, and applications submitted by the applicant to the\nBIS. The authenticity of the submitted test report is checked along with the\ntest results. If the Department want any additional documents, then the same\nshould be provided before the allotted inspection dates. Once all the documents\n&amp; details satisfy the inspecting officer, then a factory inspection will be\nconducted by the inspection officer where all the crucial documents are\nverified in hardcopy &amp; the testing &amp; manufacturing procedure is\nverified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 4: Issuance of License<\/strong>: After the factory inspection, the inspection officer submits the inspection or examination report to the Certification Officer will all the remarks. After that, they will issue the License to the manufacturer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Penalty_for_Misusing_the_ISI_Mark\"><\/span>Penalty for\nMisusing the ISI Mark<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>BIS\nproposed strict penalties for misusing ISI Mark, such as logo imitation &amp;\nproduct duplicity. As per the norms, anyone found guilty of such misconduct\nwill have to pay Rs. 50,000\/- and imprisonment for one year. BIS has\nconstituted an enforcement department to monitor the illicit uses of ISI Mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conclusion\"><\/span>Conclusion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The ISI Mark is applied on Domestic Gas Stoves and Labelling &amp; marking shall be carried out as per IS 4246:2002.
