The Notification was published with regard to the Date of Establishment and Withdrawal of Certain Indian Standards in India. The BIS notified about certain Indian standards established by BIS on certain dates and also informed about the deadline for withdrawing those products from the Indian Standards. The Indian Standards will remain in force until they are withdrawn on the Date notified for them. BIS issued another notification on 23<sup>rd<\/sup> June 2022 with regard to the Date of Establishment and Withdrawal of Certain Indian Standards for certain Indian standards. It is responsible for developing and publishing the Indian Standards and implementing Conformity assessment schemes. It also recognizes and runs conformity Assessment scheme and Implement hallmarking schemes. BIS also takes responsibility for consumer empowerment, conducting capacity-building programs on quality assurance. BIS acts as an Indian representative in ISO and IEC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ISI Mark on any product is granted to a product after checking the manufacturing and testing capabilities of the manufacturers and after testing various other requirements of the products. The formulation of Indian Standards is one of the primary activities performed by BIS. BIS has formulated around 20,000 standards, with around 1,000 technical committees and about 15,000 experts. The Indian Standards are subject to periodic review, which may even lead to their reaffirmation, amendment, revision or withdrawal as and when required.
