This has also made authorities like the Ministry of Environment, forest and Climate Change and The central Pollution Control Board monitor and regulate the already unmanageable amounts of waste in India. Therefore, to deal with this in a recent notification on 2021 of The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, they declared the registration and authorisation for aluminium import or import of 43 of its components mandatory, including authorisation for Aluminium Scrap Cable Import License.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>List of aluminium\nscrap that can be imported:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<table class=\"table table-bordered\"><tbody><tr><td>\n  <strong>Aluminium\n  Product<\/strong>\n  <\/td><td>\n  <strong>Code<\/strong>\n  <\/td><\/tr><tr><td>\n  Unwrought aluminium&nbsp; According to\ngovernmental authorities like the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate\nChange and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the importers are required to\nfollow the instructions stipulated for legal import. For Aluminium Scrap Cable\nImport in India, the importers have to follow the given instruction, including:\n&#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>They first have to acquire an Aluminium Scrap\nCable Import License <\/li><li>Pre-shipment inspection certificate<\/li><li>&nbsp;For\nimport of Aluminium Scrap Cable Importers are imposed with anti-dumping duty<\/li><li>Valuation of import of Aluminium Scrap Cable\nbased on CVD and RSP (Retail Sales Price)<\/li><li>They Also have to get registration to act as an\nimporters <\/li><li>Agreement relating to the import of\nAluminium&nbsp; Scrap Cables <\/li><li>Further, they have to get import the Certificate\nof origin <\/li><li>When importing from other countries, they have\nto get a bilateral or multilateral agreement with the country <\/li><li>They also have to check the restriction imposed\non the import of aluminium <\/li><li>They\nalso have to keep in mind the prohibition laws on the import of Aluminium Scrap\ncables. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility for acquiring Aluminium Scrap Cable Import License in India<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Before importing the aluminium scrap cable in\nIndia, importers have to get a certificate from the environmental authority, which\nwill take approximately 10-15 days to get authorised.<\/li><li>One has to keep the record on the Aluminium\nScrap Cable handled. <\/li><li>The land acquired for the operation of import of\nAluminium scrap cable must be approved by State Pollution Control\nBoard\/Pollution Control Committee. <\/li><li>An agreement with the recycler is needed <\/li><li>IEC (Importer Exporter Code) is also mandated <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Authorisation as an importer <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>IEC (Importer Exporter Code) is the main requirement that is\nneeded by importers for importing any item in India. Each paper of the application and documents is needed to carry the\nsignature of the authorised personnel.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Documents_required_for_Scrap_business\"><\/span>Documents required for Scrap business <span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The documents that are needed while filing for an application\nfor an Aluminium Scrap Cable Import License <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>GST Certificate <\/li><li>MOA (Memorandum of Article\/Article of\nAssociation) or Partnership deed <\/li><li>Electricity Bill<\/li><li>Storage Facility Details <\/li><li>Info on the imported waste <\/li><li>Copy of invoice <\/li><li>PAN Card <\/li><li>Aadhar Card <\/li><li>Notarised MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) <\/li><li>IEC\n(Import-Export Code) <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Procedure_for_acquiring_an_Aluminium_Scrap_Cable_Import_License_in_India\"><\/span>Procedure for acquiring an Aluminium Scrap Cable Import License in India<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For acquiring an Aluminium Scrap Cable Import License, the Importer has to get permission from <strong>MoEFCC<\/strong><sup><a href=\"http:\/\/moef.gov.in\/en\/\"><strong>[1]<\/strong><\/a><\/sup> (the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change). Aluminium Scrap Cable Import License is provided with the exception that the imported scrap is just imported for disposal. The scrap must be imported with the aim of proper management, including recycling, recovery, co-processing and reuse. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>&nbsp;An importer of Aluminium Scrap Cable Import License shall file an application to get the license from the State Pollution Control Board\/Pollution Control Committee. <\/li><li>Once the application is submitted to the State Pollution Control Board\/Pollution Control Committee, they are required to reply to importers within 30 days with appropriate suggestions and regulations relating to transportation.&nbsp; <\/li><li>SPCB\/PCC ( <a href=\"https:\/\/corpbiz.io\/state-pollution-control-board-spcb-noc\"><strong>The State Pollution Control Board<\/strong><\/a>\/Pollution Control Committee ) will grant an Aluminium scrap cable import license if the importer submits a permission letter with the authorised copy from the exporting country&#8217;s applicable authorities.<\/li><li>The validity for an Aluminium Scrap Cable Import License is five years. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Certificate_for_Pre-Shipment_inspection\"><\/span>Certificate for Pre-Shipment inspection <span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For importing certain items of Aluminium scrap, the importer\nhas to get a pre-shipment inspection issued by the exporting country&#8217;s\ninspection agencies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Anti-Dumping_Duty\"><\/span>Anti-Dumping Duty <span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Anti-dumping Duty is applicable to some Aluminium scrap to\nrectify the distortive effect of trade and reintroduce fair trade.
