As per the <strong>FTP (Foreign Trade Policy)<\/strong><sup><a href=\"https:\/\/indbiz.gov.in\/trade\/foreign-trade-policy\/\"><strong>[1]<\/strong><\/a><\/sup> in India, the Regional Authority (RA) of DGFT issues FSC to the exporter. An FSC is issued by the National Regulatory Authority of the exporting country as per the legislative requirements of the country. This Certification is also known as Export Certificate or International Government Certificate. Manufacturers who wish to export their product to other country require a Free Sale Certificate in order to give proof that the specific product is not restricted or prohibited for export &amp; is freely sold in the nation, but without any indication that the product or item is evaluated for safety &amp; efficacy is registered for use in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Responsibility_of_Regional_Authority_of_DGFT_in_India\"><\/span>Responsibility of Regional\nAuthority of DGFT in India<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Regional\nAuthorities need to take knowledge of the applications for FSCs received in the\nofficial email id &amp; issued the certificate via the mail and a deficiency\nletter also needs to be sent via email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Prerequisites_of_Free_Sale_Certificate_FSC\"><\/span>Prerequisites of Free Sale Certificate\n(FSC)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of\nthe prerequisites of FSC are mentioned below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>The most important thing is your profile must be\nlinked with an Import Export Code;<\/li><li>Valid DSC (Digital Signature Certificate) must be\nregistered in your system;<\/li><li>RCMC (Registration Cum Membership Certificate) has\nto be issued to the IEC.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> In case your IEC is cancelled,\nthen you will not be allowed to proceed further with your request for the\nissuance of a Free Sale Certificate (FSC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Vital_Documents_Required_for_Free_Sale_Certificate\"><\/span>Vital Documents Required for\nFree Sale Certificate<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nfollowing documents must be arranged before proceeding with the application\nprocedure:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>A valid copy of the IEC and RCMC;<\/li><li>A valid manufacturing license;<\/li><li>List of export products for which FSC are\nrequired;<\/li><li>Letter of the concerned authority demanding certificate;<\/li><li>Copy of the Authorisation Letter or Power of\nAttorney;<\/li><li>The product permission letters of the requested\nproducts.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Procedure_for_the_FSC\"><\/span>Procedure for the FSC<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Following\nis the step-by-step procedure for the Free Sale Certificate:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>First, the applicant needs to visit the official\nwebsite of DGFT and then select the ECOM application form for the Free Sale\nCertificate from the service tab.<\/li><li>Once you get access to the ECOM application page,\nthen you need to click on the e-MPS option in order to make payment for the\nsame certificate.<\/li><li>After providing the PAN details of the individual\nor firm, enter the PAN and Name of the individual or firm and submit it;<\/li><li>After validating the details of the e-MP system\nwill be shown then the main screen; click on the make a payment option from the\ntab to proceed further.<\/li><li>After that, you have to fill in the\nbelow-mentioned details:<\/li><li>Firm Name;<\/li><li>PAN or IEC;<\/li><li>Subject;<\/li><li>DGFT (Regional Authority Office);<\/li><li>Scheme;<\/li><li>ECOM Reference Number;<\/li><li>The payment amount in INR;<\/li><li>Transaction Reference Number;<\/li><li>Remarks (if any).<\/li><li>After providing the information, click on the pay\nnow button, a new window will open and you can make a payment.<\/li><li>On successful payment of the fee, the transaction\nstatus at the DGFT portal will be shown and taken a printout of the payment\nreceipt.<\/li><li>Now, the applicant can take the printout of it\neasily and submit it to the concerned DGFT with the application.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Note: A\nFree Sale Certificate is valid for two years unless specified further.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Making_an_Application_Through_Email\"><\/span>Making an Application Through\nEmail<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The applicant can also file the application through email;
