Grant of Certification and licensing is considered after the sample products pass the regular testing with respective Indian standards provided by the Authority. The process takes approximately four months and six months in the case of all India&#8217;s first licenses. There are also specific laboratories prescribed by BIS which test the products, and then these reports are submitted along with the application form for the ISI Certification. Again, the applicant\npays audit fees in addition to the Registration fees for further inspection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Inspection by BIS Officer<\/strong>:&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Further, the next\nstep in the procedure for ISI Certification is the household electrical goods\nmanufacturing factory inspection and also factory premises by the authorised\nBIS Officer. The BIS Officer and its inspection team visit the factory and\nexamine the premises along with the manufacturing process and quality control\nof the applicant&#8217;s factory. The BIS Officer and its inspection team collect samples\nand send the samples for testing in a BIS recognised and certified Lab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Product&#8217;s Sample Report<\/strong>:&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The applicant gets\nthe report of the product&#8217;s sample from such BIS-certified Lab and submits the\nsame to the BIS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Issue of ISI Certificate:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the complete\nprocedure for ISI Certification with verification of all documents and reports\nis completed, then the BIS Authority issues ISI Certificate.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Validity_of_ISI_Certification\"><\/span>Validity of ISI Certification&nbsp;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After following\nthe proper procedure for ISI Certification, one gets the Certification \/License\nfor a period of one year for the Household Electrical Goods.
