The Indian\nPerforming Right Society Limited collects Music Royalties from Event Managers\non behalf of the members of the Indian Performing Right Society, who can be\nMusic Lyricists, Music Composers, Music Singers, and Music Publishers. The Licensing Policy and Administration\nStructure of Indian Performing Right Society Limited is authorised under\nGoverning Council of Directors that is elected upon the selection by the\nMembers of the Society. The Council appointed always consists of equal members\nof the Music Lyricists and Music Publishers. The Indian Performing Right\nSociety also equally represents Music Composers and Music Authors from all\nregions across India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Tariff_of_IPRS_License_for_Events\"><\/span>The Tariff of IPRS License for Events<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tariff of IPRS License for Events is applicable for\nPublic Music Performances in events which can either be Live Performances or\nRecorded Music Performances held in any venue or premises. The Tariff is\napplicable in accordance with the terms and conditions that are set as per the\nrequirement of the License. The Tariff fee will vary in accordance with the\nlocation of where the Music Performance is held. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tariff applied on the IPRS License for Events is to be\ndetermined on the basis of \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The Location of the Event<\/li><li>The Duration of the Musical Works being utilised<\/li><li>The Total number of Musical Works being utilised<\/li><li>The Capacity of the number of audiences that can\nbe fit in the Venue of the event being held<\/li><li>The purpose of the event being held \/ the\nbusiness type of the event<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Documents_Needed_for_IPRS_License_for_Events\"><\/span>Documents Needed for IPRS License for Events<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The following documents mentioned below are needed for the\nissuance of the IPRS License for Events \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Details of the Applicant, such as the Name,\nAddress, and the Nationality<\/li><li>Details in accordance with the purpose of the\nbusiness being applied for<\/li><li>The Detailed List in regard to the list of all\nthe Musical Works being utilised in the Event<\/li><li>If the Company hosting the Event is an LLP, then\nit is mandatory that they submit a copy of the Certification of Incorporation<\/li><li>The PAN Card of the Applicant for Identification\nProof Purposes<\/li><li>Copy of Certification of GST Registration<\/li><li>A Copy of Address Proof that can be submitted by\nproviding the Electricity Bill, Driver\u2019s License, Voter ID Card, Aadhaar Card,\netc.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Application_Procedure_of_IPRS_License_for_Events\"><\/span>Application Procedure of IPRS License for Events<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The following procedure mentioned below are needed to be\nfollowed in the application procedure for the issuance of the IPRS License for\nEvents \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The Applicant firstly needs to select the type of <a href=\"https:\/\/corpbiz.io\/music-license\"><strong>music license<\/strong><\/a> being applied for, in our case, the IPRS License for Events.<\/li><li>A profile for the Applicant is to be created upon submission of the needed documents along with the duly filled application.<\/li><li>The applicant will be receiving a verification via SMS upon submission of the applicant&#8217;s e\u2013mail ID, User ID, and other credentials provided by the IPRS.<\/li><li>The application is to be deemed completed upon payment of the required fees as declared by the IPRS with the consultation of the Government of India.<\/li><li>Upon the successful evaluation of all the documentation., the IPRS License for Events is issued.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conclusion\"><\/span>Conclusion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It is mandatory, as declared by the Government of India, for obtaining an IPRS License for Events as they are to be utilised for commercial purposes, which can either be Live Performances or Recorded Music Performances held in any venue or premises.
