Industries with a\nhigher pollution index fall under the Red category, whereas entities with a\nmoderate and lower pollution index fall under the Green and White category. It is needless to mention that industries\nfalling under these categories also need to apply for CTE and CTO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On 5<sup>th<\/sup>\nMarch 2016, the honourable Minister of State (Independent Charge) of\nEnvironment rolled out the four colour categorizations for pollution-prone\nindustries as per the given pollution index (PI). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Industries\nwith PI score of 60 and above:&nbsp;Red&nbsp;category<\/li><li>Industries\nwith PI score of 41 to 59:&nbsp;Orange&nbsp;category<\/li><li>Industries\nwith PI score of 21 to 40:&nbsp;Green&nbsp;category<\/li><li>Industries\nwith PI score including and upto 20:&nbsp;White&nbsp;category<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conditions_to_Be_Fulfilled_By_the_Applicant_under_CTE\"><\/span>Conditions to Be Fulfilled By the Applicant under CTE<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Installation\n     of comprehensive control system that reduces pollutants to the underlying\n     standards<\/li><li>Mitigation\n     of fugitive emissions, if any<\/li><li>Fulfilment\n     of discharge, treatment, and disposal norms for trade effluent<\/li><li>Installing\n     stacks of the standard height in case of air pollution<\/li><li>Complete\n     adherence to water consumption norms as provided under the Water\n     (PC&amp;P) Act, 1977<\/li><li>Fulfilment\n     of Emission norms for air pollutants<\/li><li>Maintaining\n     standard noise level, i.e. 75 decibels within the facility<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Obtainment_Procedure_of_Consent_to_Establish\"><\/span>Obtainment Procedure of Consent to Establish&nbsp; <span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>CPCB has\ncategorized all industrial sectors\/projects under Red, Orange, Green and White\ncategories based on predetermined pollution index under prevailing\nlegislation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The process for\nsecuring Consent to establish (CTE) and CTO seeks filing of application with\nthe concerned SPCB.
