DIN is kept to maintain a record of all information about Directors so that they cannot cheat and are traceable in case of any fraud committed by them<\/em><\/strong>. Hence, directors are required to update all the changes or modifications which occur in the particulars of the DIN because it is not possible that information in DIN remains the same for a lifetime. If there is an Alteration of DIN, then it is mandatory to apply for changes in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA). The DIR-7 Form should be filed within 30 days of the change in particulars of the DIN. The DIR-6 Form can be submitted electronically in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. The Applicant should digitally sign the e-form DIR-6.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>The\nparticulars required for form DIR-6 for Alteration of DIN is as follows<\/em><\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Proof of Changed\nParticulars in DIN<\/li><li>Permanent\nAccount Number (PAN) Card<\/li><li>Passport-in case\nof Foreign Nationals<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>The\nProcedure followed for Alteration of DIN is as follows:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Download the\nDIR-6 Form from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) Portal.<\/li><li>Fill up the\nDetails as required in the DIR-6 Form.<\/li><li>Attach the\nrequired particulars of DIR-6 Form mentioned above with the Alteration of DIN\nApplication.<\/li><li>DIR-6 Form must\nbe certified by a practicing Chartered Accountant or Company Secretary. The\nProfessional should provide their membership number.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>In\nthe case of Foreign Nationals, the requisites to be followed while, filing for\nDIR-6 Form is as follows:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Attach DIR-7\nForm<\/li><li>Affix the Digital\nSignature Certificate (DSC) of the Applicant and the Digital Signature\nCertificate (DSC) of the person who is certifying the Form for Alteration of\nDIN.<\/li><li>Upload the Form\non the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) website.<\/li><li>After uploading Form\non the website, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) will approve the Form\nin 1-2 working days.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_are_the_Grounds_on_which_the_Application_for_Alteration_of_DIN_can_be_rejected\"><\/span>What\nare the Grounds on which the Application for Alteration of DIN can be rejected?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>The\nfollowing are the grounds on which the application of Alteration of DIN can be\nrejected:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Attestation of Identity\nProof is not done.<\/li><li>Attestation of\nProof of Address not done.<\/li><li>Identity Proof\nand Residential proof are not attached.<\/li><li>Proof of Fathers\nName is not submitted<\/li><li>The signatures\nare not at the proper place.<\/li><li>Proof of date of\nbirth is not submitted<\/li><li>The documents\nattached to the application are expired.<\/li><li>Gender is not\ncorrectly filled in the application.<\/li><li>The submitted\napplication is duplicate DIN application, DIN in the same name already exists. &nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conclusion\"><\/span>Conclusion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It becomes obligatory for the person who is holding DIN to intimate the Central Government about any change in particulars of the DIN.
