out\n<strong><em>Form\nA<\/em><\/strong>.<\/li><li><strong><em>State License<\/em><\/strong>:\nFood Business Operators having an annual turnover of more than Rs. 12 lakh and\nless than Rs. 20 crore per annum must obtain State License and the applicant\nneed to fill the <strong><em>Form B<\/em><\/strong>.<\/li><li><strong><em>Central License<\/em><\/strong>:\nFood Business Operators having an annual turnover of more than Rs. 20 crore\nmust obtain the Central License and the applicant need to fill out <strong><em>Form\nB<\/em><\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Who_Needs_Food_Production_License_in_India\"><\/span>Who Needs Food\nProduction License in India?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nFood Business Operators carrying on the following kinds of business are\ncompulsorily required to obtain a Food Production License:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Hawkers who sell freshly\npackaged prepared food or packaged food by travelling from one location to\nanother;<\/li><li>Vegetable oil processing units;<\/li><li>Proprietary food &amp; novel\nfood;<\/li><li>Exporters &amp; importers for\nfood items, including food ingredients;<\/li><li>Petty retailers &amp; retail\nshops like Snacks shops, Retail shops, Bakery shops, etc.;<\/li><li>Fixed stall or food premise or\ntemporary stalls involved in the distribution, storage, preparation, and sale\nof food products like chat stall, tea stall, sweet stall, Gol Gappa stall,\njuice shops, etc.;<\/li><li>Dairy units comprising Petty\nMilkman, Milk Chilling, and Milk Vendors;<\/li><li>Meat Processing &amp; Fish\nProcessing Units;<\/li><li>Cold or refrigerated storage\nfacility;<\/li><li>Bars,\nhotels, and restaurants;<\/li><li>PG provides food, Banquet\nHalls, Dhaba with food catering arrangement, food stalls, and home-based\ncanteens;<\/li><li>E-commerce\nfood suppliers comprising cloud kitchens;<\/li><li>Transporter\nof food items or products having a number of specified vehicles like insulated\nrefrigerated wagons or vans, food wagons, food trucks, milk tankers, etc.;<\/li><li>Slaughtering\nhouses like chicken shops, lamb meat, mutton shops, meat shops, etc.;<\/li><li>Supplier, marketer,\ndistributor, and wholesaler of food items or products;<\/li><li>Cafeteria\nand canteens, including mid-day meal canteens;<\/li><li>Food vending agencies &amp;\ncaterers.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Documents_Required_for_Getting_Food_Production_License_in_India\"><\/span>Documents\nRequired for Getting Food Production License in India<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nfollowing documents are required to obtain Basic License, State License, and\nCentral License in India:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong><em>Documents Required for FSSAI\nBasic License:<\/em><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Photo id of the FBO or Food\nBusiness Operator;<\/li><li>Business Certificate i.e.,\nIncorporation Certificate, Shop &amp; Establishment, Partnership Deed or other\nBusiness Registration Certificate;<\/li><li>Food safety management system\nplan;<\/li><li>Details of bank account;<\/li><li>Possession of proof of business\npremises, i.e., rental agreement, NOC or No Objection Certificate from the\nowner or proprietor of the rented premises, utility bills, etc.;<\/li><li>List of food products processed\nor manufactured;<\/li><li>Supporting documents (if\nneeded) like No Objection Certificate by Panchayat or Municipality, Health NOC,\ncopy of the license from the manufacturer, etc.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong><em>Documents<\/em><\/strong>\n<strong><em>Required\nfor FSSAI State License:<\/em><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Completed and duly signed Form\nB;<\/li><li>List of Partners or Directors\nor Proprietors with complete address, contact numbers and photo ID;<\/li><li>Name &amp; list of machinery\nand equipment used with the number &amp; installed capacity;<\/li><li>Analysis of water report to be\nused in the process to confirm the portability;<\/li><li>Copy of certificate attained\nunder Co-operative Act 1861 or Multi-State Co-operative Act, 2002;<\/li><li>Processing unit plan showing\nthe dimension &amp; operation-wise area allocation;<\/li><li>Authority letter from the\nmanufacturer nominated a responsible person&#8217;s name &amp; address.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong><em>Documents<\/em><\/strong>\n<strong><em>Required\nfor FSSAI Central License:<\/em><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Form B duly signed &amp; completed;<\/li><li>List of Partners or Directors or Proprietors with complete address, contact numbers and photo ID;<\/li><li>Name &amp; list of machinery and equipment used with the number &amp; installed capacity;<\/li><li>Analysis of water report to be used in the process to confirm the portability;<\/li><li>Authority letter from the manufacturer nominated a responsible person&#8217;s name &amp; address;<\/li><li>Raw material source for meat, milk, etc.;<\/li><li>NOC or PA document issued by FSSAI;<\/li><li>Form IX;<\/li><li>Declaration Form;<\/li><li>Certificate from Ministry of Tourism;<\/li><li>IE Code Document issued by <strong>DGFT<\/strong><sup><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dgft.gov.in\/CP\/\"><strong>[1]<\/strong><\/a><\/sup>;<\/li><li>Recall plan wherever applicable;<\/li><li>Ministry of Commerce Certificate for 100% EOU;<\/li><li>Supporting document for proof of transportation &amp; turnover.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Procedure_for_Obtaining_Food_Production_License_in_India\"><\/span>Procedure for\nObtaining Food Production License in India<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Following\nis the procedure for obtaining a Food Production License in India:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Food Business Operators can obtain Food Production License online by filling &amp; submitting the registration form, i.e., Form A for Basic License or Form B for State and Central License, on the official website of <strong><em>FoSCoS<\/em><\/strong>. The Food Business Operators can also register offline by submitting Form A\/Form B to the Food &amp; Safety Department.<\/li><li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/corpbiz.io\/fssai-license\"><strong>FSSAI Registration<\/strong><\/a> form should be submitted with the required documents and documents should be uploaded online on the official website of FoSCos during filing the application or submitted to the Food &amp; Safety Department along with the application.<\/li><li>The form can be accepted or rejected by the Food Department within seven days from the receipt date of an application online via the FoSCoS. In case the application is rejected, it has to be intimated to the applicant in writing.<\/li><li>The Department will examine the documents submitted.<\/li><li>The Department may carry out an examination of the food premises before granting the Food Production License, if necessary,<\/li><li>If the Department is satisfied that the Food Business Operator meets all the required criteria, then it will grant the Registration Certificate with the registration number and the application photo &amp; email id. The applicant can also download the certificate by logging into the FoSCoS website.<\/li><li>After getting the Registration Certificate, it should be displayed at the business place during business hours.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_check_the_status_of_the_Food_Production_License\"><\/span>How to check\nthe status of the Food Production License?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>An\napplicant is notified by SMS or Email at many stages of application processing\nby FSSAI. The applicant can also check the registration status by entering the\napplication number issued after submitting the application to FSSAI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\ndifferent stages of the registration status can be checked by tracking the\napplication status. When the registration status is shown as &#8220;Application\nReverted&#8221;, the FSSAI authorities have reverted back the application for\nvital modification or clarification. The applicant requires to submit the\nresponse within 30 days from the reverted date to avoid the rejection risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Renewal_of_Food_Production_License\"><\/span>Renewal of\nFood Production License<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nFood Production License is vital to starting the food business; similarly, it&#8217;s\nimperative to renew the Food Production License.
