Sewage waste, industrial waste, and\nagricultural waste pollute water, air, and soil. It can also be harmful to the\nenvironment and human beings. Likewise, hospitals and other health care\nfacilities generate lots of waste which can transmit infections like HIV,\nHepatitis B and C & Tetanus to the people who come in contact with it. As\nper the report, India produces around 3 million tonnes of bio-medical wastes\nevery year and the amount is expected to increase by 8% annually.
