A part of the treatment operation enables\nthe hazardous waste to be reused &amp; reclaimed in some other processes, while\nother treatment operations intensely lessen the amount of hazardous waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>S stands for Storage\nFacilities:<\/strong> These facilities temporarily hold\nhazardous wastes until they are disposed of or treated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>D stands for Disposal Facilities<\/strong>:\nThese facilities permanently contain hazardous wastes. The regulations\npertaining to Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facilities (TSDFs) are stricter\nas compared to which apply to transporters or generators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nregulations comprise common facility standards and unit-specific design &amp;\noperating criteria. The general facility standards comprise good housekeeping\nprovisions for any facility that handles hazardous waste. The unit-specific\ntechnical necessities are designed to prevent exposure to hazardous waste in\nthe environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Following\nare some facilities that are required in a Treatment, Storage, and Disposal\nFacilities (TSDFs):<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Storage Facility;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Disposal Facility;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transport Facility;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Treatment Facility.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Is_it_necessary_to_treat_Hazardous_Waste\"><\/span>Is it\nnecessary to treat Hazardous Waste?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hazardous\nWaste possesses poisonous characteristics that can harm the environment and\nliving beings. That\u2019s why it\u2019s vital to treat hazardous waste before discharging\nit into the environment.
