EPR Authorization is provided by the Central Pollution Control Board, and the Producer \/ Importer of electronic products have been given the accountability to control electronic waste of the products after the expiry of their lifetime. The CPCB examines the EPR Plan and grants Authorization to the producers in Form 1(aa) within a period of one hundred and twenty days and it is valid for five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Who_can_apply_for_EPR_Authorization\"><\/span>Who can apply for EPR Authorization?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In India, the Producers\/ Importer of electrical products is permitted\nonly to producers having EPR Authorization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Extended_Producer_Responsibility_Post_Compliance_-E-Waste\"><\/span>Extended Producer Responsibility\nPost Compliance -E-Waste<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>By the potency of E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2016, Ministry of\nEnvironment, Forest, and Climate Change, as the regulator has advised the\nfollowing mandatory compliances for producers of Electronic Goods. The EPR Post\ncompliances are required to be implemented&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>To ensure that the electronic products when launched are RoHS Compliant Here RoHS Means-Reduction in hazardous Substances.<\/li><li>Under EPR Compliance, the producer takes back a percentage of the produced electronic goods and gets them recycled in an environment-friendly manner.<\/li><li>Make sure that only Authorized Recyclers repair and handle the e-waste.<\/li><li>Declares its E-waste Authorized Collection Centres to dispose of electric products that have reached obsolescence.<\/li><li>Appropriate labeling of the products and information related to end-of-life equipment handling.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Requisites_for_EPR_Post-Compliances-E-waste\"><\/span>Requisites for EPR Post-Compliances-E-waste<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Below-mentioned documents are required for EPR- Post-compliances -E-waste<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Legal structure details for Manufacturer \/ Importer<\/li><li>Production\/Import History of Product. It should be product Code Wise for the last ten years<\/li><li>Valid Common Reporting Standard Certificate \/ Indian Standard Institute Mark License.<\/li><li>Documents required for CPCB Certification\u00a0<\/li><li>Self-declaration for Reduction of Hazardous Substances compliance with BoM, RoHS Test Reports, RoHS Certificate<\/li><li>Particulars of all offices along with the location.<\/li><li>EPR Plan that shall cover implementation procedure, Budgeting, Flow Diagrams<\/li><li>Documents based on Collection and movement of E-Waste to Recycler<\/li><li>Approximate generation of e-waste product-wise for future years<\/li><li>Approximate collection target for the forthcoming years.<\/li><li>Agreements with Suppliers, Collecting points, Recyclers, Handling, Storage and Disposal Facility, etc.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Post_Compliances_for_EPR-_E-waste\"><\/span>Post Compliances for EPR- E-waste<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After getting EPR-Authorization, a producer has to comply, below mentioned compliances that are called <a href=\"https:\/\/corpbiz.io\/epr-post-compliance-e-waste\"><strong>EPR Post-compliances<\/strong><\/a>&#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Providing requisite Information on Websites, addresses, and Tole free numbers.<\/li><li>Providing information on Hazardous constituents.<\/li><li>Creating awareness programs about E-waste.<\/li><li>Disclosure of channelizing of E-waste.<\/li><li>Providing information related to a hazardous substance, improper handling, accidental damage.<\/li><li>Information in Media, Publications, newspapers, seminars, etc.<\/li><li>Appropriate instructions for handling and disposing of the machinery after obsolescence.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Maintaining records<\/strong>-The company shall keep a\nrecord in Form-2 of every waste handled and make the records available for\ninspection by the Authority (CPCB and SPCB).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Annual Return<\/strong>-Form-3 must be filed\nwith the CPCB by the 30<sup>th<\/sup> day of June following year in question. Some states have-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Various compliance mechanisms and has different reporting requirements,<\/li><li>Varying fee structures,<\/li><li>Various reporting programs to adhere to<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It is time-consuming and difficult to collect and monitor the requisite information required for EPR Post compliances, especially if the business operates in multiple countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conclusions\"><\/span>Conclusions<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p> As the recycling of electronic products will take a more extended and different methodology, the companies are advised to separate the wastes from the starting point.
