Also, <strong>As per NBC Part 4<\/strong>, buildings falling under the below-mentioned categories are under obligation to comply with fire and safety measures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Institutional\nBuildings like Hospital, Nursing Home, etc.<\/li><li>Commercial\nBuildings (Shops, showrooms, Warehouse, Etc.)<\/li><li>Industrial\nBuildings. <\/li><li>Hazardous\nBuildings <\/li><li>Irrespective\nof the Height, Residential Ownership with Partial Commercial Use. <\/li><li>Educational\nBuildings. <\/li><li>Theatre\nBuildings (Cinema Halls, Ceremonial Houses, Etc.)<\/li><li>Buildings\nHaving Offices. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Is_Fire_NOC_enough_to_avoid_Fire_accidents\"><\/span>Is Fire NOC enough to avoid Fire accidents? <span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Obtaining the Fire No Objection\nCertificate isn&#8217;t enough for mitigating the hearth accidents; aside from\nobtaining the NOC, an applicant must install other fire prevention measures in\nits respective building<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Separate\nzone for smoking. <\/li><li>Proper\npositioning of fire extinguishers. <\/li><li>Supervision\nof the cooking area and the Canteens. <\/li><li>Proper\nventilation facilities. <\/li><li>Proper\nelectric wiring of the building and maintenance whenever required. <\/li><li>Restoration\nof smoke or fire alarms. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The building owner must have the National\nBuilding code of India*, which ensures that all emergency measures are\nsuccessfully installed in the building. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_National_Building_Code\"><\/span><em>What is National Building Code? * <\/em><em><\/em><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>National Building Code (NBC)<\/strong><sup><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bis.gov.in\/index.php\/standards\/technical-department\/national-building-code\/\"><strong>[1]<\/strong><\/a><\/sup> is prepared to direct the measures that will ensure fire safety to some extent.
