The timeline for continual working should not be more than 5 hours. 30 minutes of break is mandatory in this regard. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Every employer must take\nmeasures in accordance with the Act relating to the health and safety of their\nemployees. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No women employee shall be\ntreated prejudicially when it comes to training, recruitment, promotion, or\nwages.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No employer should temper the\nprescribed timeline of working for women.&nbsp;\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The total number of working\nhours including the rest interval for employees should not be more than 10.5\nhours. The workers that deal with the intermittent nature of work are not\npermitted to work more than 12 hours. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any workers that serve extra\nworking time are eligible for overtime wages. However, there is a cap on such a\ntimeline, which is kept at 125 hours for the period of 3 months. Anything more\nthat than will not be subjected to any sort of payment. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Every employer must grant 8\ndays of casual leave to workers along with wages per calendar year, which must\nbe credited to their account every quarter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Children below 14 years of age\nare prohibited to work in any commercial establishment. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The permissible working timing\nfor teenagers below 17 years of age is kept at 3 hours including the 30 min\nrest time<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No teenager is permitted to\nwork before 1 AM and after 7 PM in any commercial establishment and to engage\nwith work that is detrimental to life, health, or morale. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The state government mandates\nevery employer to ensure proper maintenance of records and registers. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Employer of commercial\nestablishment in view of State Government\u2019s discretion should grant identity\ncard for employees. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It is clear from the above that the Shop and Establishment Act Regulates the working environment as well as policies to ensure the well-being of the workers.
