Prior to the submission of this form, the taxpayers must reconcile sales and input tax credit details via GSTR-1 and GSTR-2B. The issuance of DSC is in the hand of specified authorities that got the recommendation of the <em><strong>Ministry of Corporation Affairs<\/strong><\/em><sup><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ministry_of_Corporate_Affairs\"><em><strong>[1]<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/sup>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s worth noting that the GST portal only\naccepts Class 2 and 3 DSC. To validate the user having DSC, first, register the\nDSC on the GST portal after login into the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_E-Sign_in_GST\"><\/span>What is E-Sign in GST?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The E-Sign stands for electronic signature. It is a kind of service that is largely used in <a href=\"https:\/\/corpbiz.io\/gst-registration\" title=\"GST Registration\"><strong>GST<\/strong><\/a> processes. It enables an Aadhaar cardholder to sign the documents digitally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The process is pretty straightforward; an OTP is\nsent to the Aadhaar registered contact number, which enables the person to\naccess the portal and e-sign the document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_EVC_in_GST\"><\/span>What is EVC in GST?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>EVC stands for Electronic Verification Code- it\nis a ten-digit alphanumeric code used for authentication by the users. A person\ncan validate the user via One Time Password on the GST portal. The authorized\nsignatory will get the password on the registered phone number, and they can\nuse the password to proceed further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Penalty_Regarding_Late_Filing_of_GST_Nil_Return\"><\/span>Penalty Regarding Late Filing of GST Nil Return<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Previously, the penalty was payable at the rate of Rs 200\/day. But, the same was minimized via notice released by the Central Board of Direct Taxes.
