Challan is an official form of a piece of paper or citation which acts as evidence for the payment of money. In this article, we will discuss about the FSSAI Challan which is given by the FSSAI to every Food Business Operator who is registering its food business and obtaining a license under FSSAI. The specific registration is divided into three heads and\ndepending on the turnover and installed capacity or the location. The applicant\nis eligible for obtaining the licenses. The three licenses depending upon the\nregistration is given below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong><em>Basic FSSAI Registration<\/em><\/strong>&#8211; This is for petty food business whose annual turnover is less than 12 lakhs. This includes Food Business Operator who is small sized manufacturers, transporters, marketers, distributors and retailers.<\/li><li><strong><em>State FSSAI registration<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 This is for medium food business whose annual turnover is more than 12 lakhs but less than 20 crores and &nbsp;includes manufacturing units with upto 2 MT of capacity, 3 star <strong><em>hotels<\/em><\/strong><sup><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hotel\"><strong><em>[1]<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/sup>, club canteens, catering businesses, dairy units with handling business upto 50000 litres each day, etc.<\/li><li><strong><em>Central FSSAI Registration<\/em><\/strong> &#8211; This is for large food business whose annual turnover of the food business is more than 20 crores.
