This order of <a href=\"https:\/\/corpbiz.io\/fssai-license\"><strong>FSSAI<\/strong><\/a> on sweet shops will come into effect from October 1, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nFSSAI on sweet shop owners have also notified these food business operators\n(FBO) to exhibit the manufacturing date of the particular sweet on the\nunpackaged product. Therefore, The Food Safety\nand Standards (Packaging and labelling) Regulations, 2011 lays down such\nguidelines where it is important for the food business dealers especially the\none dealing with packaging and labelling of the food products to abide by the\nFSSAI guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus,\nFSSAI on sweet shop owners has mandated the owners to mandatorily mention \u201cbest\nbefore date\u201d for all the loose and unpackaged goods so that the person\npurchasing those sweets is aware about the durability of the product. India\nbeing a land of diverse cultures and festivals is a home to varieties of\ndelicacies which includes sweets and desserts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our\ncountry has a rich heritage and tradition for preparing fresh sweets at local\nsweet shops and distributing the same on different occasions. Sweets especially\nthose with milk products added in it are more prone to <strong>microbial growth<\/strong>. Therefore, it is important for the sweet shops to\nensure compliance of the safety norms, sanitation and hygiene while preparing, storing\nand distributing the sweets within its shelf life period. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hence,\nFSSAI on sweet shop owners has this objective of adopting best hygiene and\nsafety practices while preparing sweets especially the unpackaged and loose\nsweets having limited shelf life and storage conditions.
