The address and identity proof are mentioned in the <a href=\"https:\/\/corpbiz.io\/trust-registration\"><strong>Trust<\/strong><\/a> Deed or Memorandum of NGO. <\/li><li>The PAN application is to be made to the assessing persons of authorized agency who have been specifically assigned by the Income Tax department to carry out the process and complete the function. <\/li><li>After getting the application the authorized franchise\/Agency provide Acknowledgement Slip with stamp seal and signature to receive application.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Online Application<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To ease the\nprocess of obtaining a PAN Card, the government of India has introduced an\nonline portal wherein an individual or a company can apply for the PAN Card\nwhile sitting at their home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Following step that is required to be followed to get PAN card for Registered NGO:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The first thing to keep in&nbsp; mind is that an online application can be submitted for PAN Card but have to submit the memorandum or trust deed as evidence of identity and address proof of NGO.<\/li><li>One can submit application by following the links authorized by Income Tax Department:<ul><li>http:\/\/www.incometaxindia.gov.in\/Pages\/tax-services\/apply-for-pan.aspx<\/li><li>https:\/\/tin.tin.nsdl.com\/pan\/correctiondsc.html <\/li><li>https:\/\/www.utiitsl.com\/UTIITSL_SITE\/site\/pan\/ <\/li><li>https:\/\/www.tin-nsdl.com\/pan\/pan-index.php <\/li><li>https:\/\/www.onlineservices.nsdl.com\/paam\/endUserRegisterContact.html <\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>When the online application for\nPAN is submitted, an NGO should select for submitting documents options. There\nare options available such as \u2013 Forward application documents physically or\nSubmit digitally through digital signature or Submit digitally through e-Sign,\nduring submitting the online application form.<\/li><li>After that one has to select suitable\nmode of payment and fill significant details either by online payment or by\nDemand Draft through Bill Desk in the online application form submission. Other\noptions and proceeding is stated in the application form.<\/li><li>After the successful\nsubmission, an e-receipt will be generated which then needs to be saved and\nprinted. <\/li><li>Furthermore, recent photographs\nmust be affixed on the receipt and the applicant must sign over the receipt in\nthe space provided.<\/li><li>Next, forward this receipt to\nNSDL e-Gov. along with supporting documents to ensure further processing of the\nPAN Card.<\/li><li>The final step then would be to\nsend all the documentary proofs because of PAN Card being an important document.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_are_the_Benefits_of_having_a_PAN_card_for_Registered_NGO\"><\/span>What are the Benefits of having a PAN card for Registered NGO?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>The advantages of having PAN card for Registered NGO are as follows-<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The NGO\u2019s <strong><em>receive funds<\/em><\/strong> from NITI\nAayog time to time and in order to get such funds from the government, an NGO\nmust have a PAN Card. This would ensure the authority and legitimacy of the\nbank transactions and the government will have a proper monetary detail of the\nNGO.<\/li><li>The NGO\u2019s are also involved in\nbusiness transactions, buying and selling of stocks or purchasing lands or any\nproperty. Again to keep an account of all these transactions, it is important\nto have a registered PAN Card.<\/li><li>The NGO as we see is involved\nin a lot many transactions and hence under the Income- tax Act, an NGO is\ntreated as an assesse and therefore, it has to pay taxes. According to the Income Tax department website, penalty of INR 10,000\ncan be levied. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This Section provides\nfor penalty in case of default by the taxpayer in complying with the provisions\nrelating to PAN, i.e., not obtaining PAN even when they are obliged to obtain\nPAN.
