The Act provides provisions regarding the operations of food business in India. The department of FSSAI in order to build up food safety has introduced Food Safety Display Boards for various food businesses in India.&nbsp;The display boards are informative boards that consist of primary knowledge of food safety and health guidelines that are being practised by the food vendor.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the rules and regulations of the act, it is compulsory for a food vendor to get himself either registered or obtain a <a href=\"https:\/\/corpbiz.io\/fssai-license\"><strong>FSSAI license<\/strong><\/a> depending upon the scale and type of its operation. A 14-digit number known as the FSSAI registration number is allotted to the food operators. Back in the days, only displaying the FSSAI registration number was mandatory. However, along with the mandatory registration or licensing, the act also implements stringent rules for display boards of street food vendors.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Points_to_Remember_while_Exhibiting_the_Food_Safety_Display_Board\"><\/span>Points to\nRemember while Exhibiting the Food Safety Display Board<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Following points are required to be taken into consideration before exhibiting the food safety:-<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/corpbiz.io\/learning\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Following-points-are-required-to-be-taken-into-consideration-before-exhibiting-the-food-safety.png\" alt=\"Following points are required to be taken into consideration before exhibiting the food safety\" class=\"wp-image-24370\" width=\"518\" height=\"527\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Size of the\nSheet<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The rules must be displayed on an A4 size sheet in case of a FSSAI registered business, or on an A3 size sheet in case of FSSAI license business be it <a href=\"https:\/\/corpbiz.io\/central-fssai-license\"><strong>Central FSSAI license<\/strong><\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/corpbiz.io\/fssai-state-license\"><strong>FSSAI state license<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Number of Display\nBoard to be Exhibited<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Generally,\na single FSSAI display board is required to be exhibited, however, in case the\nfood operation unit is large in scale, then more than one food safety display\nboard is required to be exhibited. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Content of Display\nBoard should be Easily Visible<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The\ncontent of the Food Safety display board must remain intact over the course of\ntime, and should not be damaged, if it does, then it should be exhibited again\nin a proper manner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Display of\nFSSAI License Number<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It\nis mandatory for the business operators to add FSSAI license number on the top\nof the board along with the name of the company. The said 14-digit number is allotted to a business operator upon successful registration of a food business. For the process of license and registration, a firm is required to have an active mobile number and an email Id. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further, the name of the food business should be correctly spelled in the application as the same will be mentioned on the license whether state or central license. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once\nthe application with all the relevant information and the required fees is\nsuccessfully registered along with the supporting documents, the system will\ngenerate a unique 14-digit registration number, and the same number is\nmandatory to be mentioned on the top of the food safety display board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nFSSAI registration number or the license number must be specifically mentioned\non the top of the display board which can be easily verified on the FSSAI\nwebsite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Food Safety and\nHygiene Guidelines <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It is the duty of the food vendor to inform the customer about the guidelines that are followed by the business operation to meet the food safety and health requirements of the consumers.
