This supporting document is obligatory for Registered Society, Partnership, HUF &amp; Trusts;<\/li><li>Scanned copy of passport size photograph; <\/li><li>PAN details of the particular company or individuals;<\/li><li>ID proof of individuals &#8211;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Aadhar Card<\/li><li>Passport<\/li><li>Voter ID<\/li><li>Mobile Number <\/li><li>Email-ID<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>You should have a Current or Savings bank account in any bank which helps in transactions in Foreign Exchange;<\/li><li>You should have scanned copy of rent or lease agreement, sale deed, electricity bill for verification of address;<\/li><li>You are required to submit the scanned copy of RBI approval letter if the applicant is an Non-Resident Indian (NRI);<\/li><li>You must have \u2018Bankers Certificate\u2019 in the approved format or a scanned copy of \u2018Cancelled Cheque\u2019 with company\u2019s or Individual\u2019s name printed on the cheque;<\/li><li>You should have a \u2018Debit or Credit card or Net Banking account\u2019 for Online payment of Government Fees of INR 500\/- only.<\/li><li>In case of company you must have the details of owner and all the partners;<\/li><li>Users must have an active Aadhaar or Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) of the firm\u2019s member for submission.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Online_IEC_Registration_Process_in_India_effective_from_July_2020\"><\/span>Online IEC Registration Process in India effective\nfrom July 2020<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>One can apply for IEC Registration on\nits website&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/WWW.DGFT.GOV.IN\">WWW.DGFT.GOV.IN<\/a> as DGFT\nis an only authority to issue IEC Registration. Director General of Foreign\nTrade with effect from 1st&nbsp;July 2020 has established an updated process\n&amp; a new method to apply for IEC online in which Digital Signature Certificate\n(DSC) will be compulsory to upload. The requirement for DSC has been declared\nby Director General of Foreign Trade to support IEC issuance process and to stop\nthe prevailing scam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Import Export Code is issued by Director General of Foreign Trade, Department of Commerce, and Government of India. IEC has lifetime validity and is also known as \u201cImporter and exporter code\u201d which helps a person to import as well export goods legally. The Importer who doesn\u2019t have a valid IEC cannot import goods. Moreover, the exporter who doesn\u2019t have IEC Registration cannot gain the benefits of <strong><em>Export Scheme Benefit<\/em><\/strong> available from DGFT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>The Process for IEC Registration is as follows-<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Open the website by DGFT by\nclicking on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dgft.gov.in\/CP\"><em>https:\/\/dgft.gov.in\/CP<\/em><\/a><strong><em>.<\/em><\/strong> After that, select the&nbsp;\u201cApply\nfor IEC\u201d&nbsp;icon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You need to enter the Details for\nregistration that is stated below-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Register User as \u201cImporter or Exporter\u201d;<\/li><li>First and Last Name;<\/li><li>Email ID and contact number of the applicant;<\/li><li>Pin code, District, State and City.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on the \u201cSend OTP\u201d button\nafter putting the above-mentioned details. You will receive OTP on your contact\nnumber as well as email ID. You will receive a notification consisting\ntemporary password on your email ID after successful confirmation of the OTP\nthat you are require to change on your first login. Click on <strong><em>\u201cApply\nfor IEC\u201d<\/em><\/strong> button. Click on start for fresh application option once the\nuser is registered and login to the <strong><em>\u201cCustomer Portal\u201d<\/em><\/strong> using the details\nentered in Step 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You need to fill in the details for IEC registration form which are bifurcated into two headings, those are as follows:-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. General Information<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Nature of the Concern<\/li><li>Name of the Company<\/li><li>PAN details of the Company<\/li><li>Enter Name according to PAN Card<\/li><li>Registration of the Entity<\/li><li>The category of the exporter has to be mentioned\nthat is whether it is a Merchant exporter or Manufacturer exporter or Service\nprovider or Merchant cum Manufacturer exporter or any other relevant category.<\/li><li>Select the option, related to SEZ that whether\nthe entity is located in the Special Economic Zone or not.<\/li><li>Whether the firm is located in Bio-Technology\nPark (BTP) scheme, Export Oriented Unit (EOU) Scheme, or Software Technology\nPark (STP) Scheme) Electronic Hardware Technology Park (EHTP) Scheme, select\nthe relevant option<\/li><li>Enter the relevant CIN or LLPIN in case of LLP\nor company<\/li><li>Enter the relevant GSTN<\/li><li>Enter the contact number and email ID for further\ncommunication<\/li><li>Upload proof of registration for the provided\nentity. This supplementary document is obligatory for Registered Society, HUF,\nPartnership or Trust<\/li><li>Enter the address of the firm: You are required\nto upload supporting documents as <strong><em>\u201cProof of Address\u201d<\/em><\/strong>. This can be any\nof the following documents:-<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Rent agreement, Sale Deed, lease deed, mobile, electricity bill, Memorandum of Understanding, telephone bill or postpaid bill.<\/li><li>Other appropriate documents (for ownership only) such as passport, Aadhar card, and voter ID.<\/li><li>A No Objection Certificate by the owner of the business premises in favor of the business along with the address proof has to be uploaded.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Select <strong><em>\u201cSave and Next\u201d<\/em><\/strong> option after filling in the above information effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Now, you are required to add details of\ndirector or partner or managing trustee of the entity that consists of the\nfollowing list of items:-<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Enter Name according to PAN Card<\/li><li>Enter PAN number of the director or partner or\nmanaging trustee of the entity <\/li><li>Enter Date of birth according to the PAN Card<\/li><li>Address of the director or partner or managing\ntrustee of the entity <\/li><li>Contact details of the director or partner or\nmanaging trustee of the entity <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Select \u201cSave and Next\u201d button after filling in the above- mentioned particulars successfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A. Enter Bank Information of the Entity<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bank information such as Account\nholder\u2019s Name, Bank and Branch, account number and IFSC code are to be\nprovided. You are required to upload cancelled cheque of the bank account according\nto the prescribed Performa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Select \u201cSave and Next\u201d button after\nfilling in the above- mentioned information successfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>B. Now, you need to select other details that are preferred sectors.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on the \u201cSave and Next\u201d button\nafter filling the above details successfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>C. Select the Acceptance of Undertaking along with the Declaration and fill the details herewith.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After that, click on \u201cSave and Next\u201d button to proceed further<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 4<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on \u201cSign\u201d button at the bottom\nof the page after completing Step 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Now, you are required to select the mode of\nsubmission that is either through Aadhaar Card OTP or Digital Signature\nCertificate (DSC). Enter your Aadhaar Number and click on <strong><em>Get OTP<\/em><\/strong> and submit your\nform;<\/li><li>Confirm the OTP and proceed to make the payment\nagainst your application after getting signature in the prescribed form. The Fee\nof IEC Application is INR 500 and you will be redirected to <strong><em>\u2018Bharatkosh\u2019<\/em><\/strong>\nPayment Gateway.<\/li><li>Page will be forwarded to the DGFT Website after\nsuccessful payment and the receipt will be displayed on your screen. You can\ndownload the receipt for further reference. On the other hand, wait for an hour\nfor the payment to be reflected from the \u2018BharatKosh\u2019 Payment Gateway in case\nof failure of payment.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"shadow1\"><strong>Note:<\/strong>The applicant should update the PAN details of the Signatory under \u201cMy Dashboard\u201d tab select \u201cView Register Digital Signature Token\u201d in order to sign the form of IEC.<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_Are_the_Precautions_that_should_be_taken_while_filling_For_IEC_Registration_Process\"><\/span>What Are the Precautions that should be taken\nwhile filling For IEC Registration Process?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>No need to apply for additional IEC in India against the same PAN<\/li><li>You need to be specific while providing information about the\n     business.
