The revamped services aim to provide paperless and digital services to IEC holders. In addition to that, the authority promises to roll out additional processes like Norms Fixation, Steel Import Monitoring System (SIMS), Free Sale &amp; Commerce Certificate, and Import Licensing in upcoming months. The new online system shall incorporate two-way communication to ensure seamless correspondence between the DGFT and the exporter\/importer. All IEC holders must create login credentials via the web-based registration process before the advent of the new phase of the platform.<\/li><li>It is mandated for the applicants to create user IDs with the help of email ID and mobile number. The portal will automatically authenticate the same through the OTP verification system.\u00a0<\/li><li>The applicants must link their login IDs to their specific IEC. Further, the applicant must fill in all the information\nabout Export Performance, Industrial Registrations, and other details in the\nprofile section. Since profile updation is an automatic process, it doesn\u2019t\nattract any kind of fees.&nbsp;<\/li><li>IEC holders should take advantage of Frequently Asked Questions\n(FAQs) and Help manuals accessible in the new website of DGFT under the \u201cLearn\u201d\nsection.&nbsp;<\/li><li>To reduce the nuisances related to the newly revamped website,\nall RAs must take the responsibility to spread awareness among the importers\nand exporters. One\ncan take the reference of Chapter 4 of Foreign Trade Policy that encloses the\ndetailed procedure for the same.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_Duty-Free_Import_Authorization_DFIA\"><\/span>What is Duty-Free Import\nAuthorization (DFIA)?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Duty-Free Import Authorization (DFIA): Duty-Free Import\nAuthorization exempts the duty applicable to the import of input that is used\nfor producing exportable goods. DFIA acts as an allowance for wastage, energy,\nfuel, etc used for manufacturing the items for export. DFIA is granted on the\nbasis of inputs &amp; exportable goods as per Standard Input and Output Norms\n(SION). The import right will be limited as per the quantity prescribed in\nSION. To avail such a scheme, the exporters are liable to accomplish a minimum\nof 20% value addition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_the_Export_Promotion_Capital_Goods_EPCG\"><\/span>What is the\nExport Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG)?&nbsp;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This scheme aims at providing duty-free import of capital goods\nincluding spare regardless of the production stage subjected to an export\nobligation of six times of duty saved on the same under EPCG scheme which\nrequired to be fulfilled within six years from the issuance date of the\nauthorization.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EPCG scheme covers all the exporters with or without the <em><strong>manufacturing<\/strong><\/em><sup><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Manufacturing\"><em><strong>[1]<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/sup> facilities. The scheme is accessible to a service provider who is serving as a Common Service Provider (CSP).
