The bill was drafted by amending the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970. The Bill aims to regulate the practice and education of the Indian Medicine System which also includes Naturopathy, Ayueveda, and Yoga. The government will elect one member to be Board Chairperson.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As soon as the board is formed by the\ngovernment, it will have all the authority to exercise the power of the Central\nCouncil (that is being replaced) such as regulating the education and practice\nof Indian Medicine.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Power_to_the_Central_Government\"><\/span>Power to the Central Government<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Central Council and the board will be\nliable to follow the guidelines of the central government on inquiries related\nto administrative and technical matters.&nbsp;The new Act encloses the new\nsections namely 3A, 3B, and 3C.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Changes brought by New Sections<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>The new sections bring the followings changes, those are as follows:-<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the date of commencement of the Indian\nMedicine Central Council (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020, the Central council will\nbe replaced and its member will vacate their offices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Central Council will be reformed on the\nground of Section 3 within one year from the date of supersession. In the\nmeantime, the Board of Governors formed under sub-section (4) will perform the\nactivities of the Central council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Formation of the Board of Government shall\nbe done via official gazette and it should contain only ten-person as its\nmembers.
