{"id":13062,"date":"2020-07-17T12:28:19","date_gmt":"2020-07-17T06:58:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/corpbiz.io\/learning\/?p=13062"},"modified":"2025-07-09T11:59:14","modified_gmt":"2025-07-09T06:29:14","slug":"apply-for-apeda-registration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/corpbiz.io\/learning\/apply-for-apeda-registration\/","title":{"rendered":"How to apply for online APEDA Registration"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">Under section 12 subsection (1) of the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority Act 1985, one can apply for online <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/corpbiz.io\/apeda-registration\" title=\"APEDA Registration\">APEDA registration<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every person exporting any one or more of the Scheduled products must, before the expiration of 1 month from the date on which he undertakes such export, or before the expiration of 3 months from the date of coming into force section, whichever is later. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The person can apply to Authority to be registered as an exporter of the Scheduled product or Scheduled products. The Exporter\nmust enter the OTP of mobile and Email on the verification screen to verify\nboth and click on the Submit to proceed for application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Step 4<\/em><\/strong> After verification and\nconfirmation, Exporter must require to fill online application and upload the\nrequired documents. The documents should be in the JPEG, PDF, or PNG formats\nonly. The Exporter must enter all required information carefully and ensure\ncorrect information is submitted in the online application form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Step 5<\/em><\/strong> Online application must be\ncompleted in one or more sessions by revisiting to website using the assigned\nOTP (One Time Password) of Email and Mobile. After filling the fields, the\nExporter can save an information in between by using the Save button. The\nExporter can also edit the filled data until online payment is not made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Step 6 <\/em><\/strong>The Exporter can submit registration fees of Rs. 5000\/- excluding taxes Rs. 5900\/- (with GST) made through any of the following modes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Online<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Credit Card(MasterCard and Visa) or Debit Card (MasterCard and Visa)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Offline<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Demand draft in favor of &#8220;APEDA&#8221; payable at respective cities of APEDA offices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Step 7<\/em><\/strong> After completion of the payment\nprocess, an application number will be generated. Please note down the application\nnumber for the future reference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Step 8<\/em><\/strong> On the issuance of RCMC, Login detail is sent to the registered email of an Exporter. The Exporter can log in to their account through the &#8220;Exporter Login&#8221; link given at the <strong>APEDA website<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Step 9<\/em><\/strong> The Exporter may view the status of the RCMC application by clicking the &#8220;Track Application&#8221; link to view the status of the application by submitting the <a href=\"https:\/\/corpbiz.io\/iec-registration\" title=\"Import Export Code Registration\"><strong>Import Export Code<\/strong><\/a> and Application number until it is issued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Step 10<\/em><\/strong> In case of any shortcoming is observed in the application. The Exporter must require to resubmit the document online. Hence, Exporter is required to monitor the status of the RCMC application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-left\"><b>Read our article<\/b>:<mark style=\"background: #fffd03 !important;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/corpbiz.io\/learning\/advantages-of-iec-registration-in-india\/\">Advantages of Obtaining IEC (Import Export Code) Registration in India\n<\/a><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is Registration\nCum Membership Certificate (RCMC)?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This\ncertificate authenticates that an exporter dealing with certain products is\nregistered with a certain agency\/organization authorized by the Government of\nIndia.&nbsp; An exporter desiring to obtain a\n-cum- Membership Certificate (RCMC) shall declare his main line of business in\nthe application, which shall be made to the Export Promotion Council, Commodity\nBoard relating to that line of business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the\napplication duly filled and paid by the applicant, the Authority will issue\nRegistration -Cum- Membership- Certificate (RCMC). This registration is a\none-time registration, and all the registered members are governed by the rules\n&amp; regulations under APEDA Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Documents_required_for_Online_APEDA_registration\"><\/span>Documents required for Online APEDA registration<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Self-certified copy of the\nImport-Export code issued by D.G.F.T.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bank Certificate duly signed by\nthe authorities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Duly signed an application form<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bank A\/c. statement of the bank\naccount of the firm (for latest two months)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Canceled cheque<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Administrative_set-up\"><\/span>Administrative set-up<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Chairman &#8211; Appointed by the\nCentral Government<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Director &#8211; Appointed by APEDA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Secretary &#8211; Appointed by the\nCentral Government<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other Officers and Staff &#8211;\nAppointed by the Authority<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Section\n7 (3) of the APEDA Act provides for the appointment of such officers and\nemployees by the Authority as may be necessary for the efficient performance of\nits functions. The total sanctioned staff strength is 124 in different\ncategories of A, B, C &amp; D.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At\npresent, APEDA has 30 female employees in Group A, B, and C categories. The\nwelfare of female employees is also well looked after. APEDA has provided a\nseparate ladies&#8217; room within the office premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per Govt. norms, the reservation for physically handicapped persons is 3% of the total strength in all grades. APEDA has a total sanctioned staff strength of 124, out of which two are physically handicapped employees. The requirement of 3% will be completed in subsequent recruitments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conclusion\"><\/span>Conclusion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For registering under APEDA, the applicant should submit the application form within one month from the date of undertaking the business.
