Apply for FSSAI license or FSSAI registration to start an energy drink business in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FSSAI Standards for Energy Drinks\/Caffeinated Beverages<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>FSSAI has taken steps to regulate caffeinated beverages after learning that many leading energy drinks in the Indian market have caffeine as the ingredients more in amount than the suggested consumption level on a regular basis. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>According to the FSSAI standards, <strong><em>non-alcoholic beverages<\/em><\/strong> having caffeine more than <strong><em>145 mg per liter<\/em><\/strong> would get labeled as <strong><em>caffeinated beverages. <\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The maximum permissible <strong><em>caffeine level<\/em><\/strong> must not cross <strong><em>300 mg per liter<\/em><\/strong>. Besides this, <strong><em>sucralose<\/em><\/strong> must not pass <strong><em>300 ppm<\/em><\/strong>, and <strong><em>saccharin sodium<\/em><\/strong> must not go beyond <strong><em>100 pm<\/em><\/strong>. Different types of <strong><em>Amino\nacids<\/em><\/strong>, like <strong><em>Inositol, Taurine<\/em><\/strong>, and others, can get used in the range of\ntheir defined limits for per day serving.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under\nFSSAI standards and guidelines, labeling requirements for such products are\ndefined. There is a mandatory condition that the manufacturers should go on\nmaking a declaration of the per day consumable quantity.
