These reasons have further populated\na large number of private security agencies all over the country, which has\nalso helped in meeting the security needs of the business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the way these security agencies are functioning is a matter of concern for the Nation. Many a time, it has been seen that these agencies conduct their operations without verifying the personal details and criminal record of these private security guards and supervisors. To regulate the functioning of these private security agencies, the Union government has introduced the\u00a0<strong>Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Bill<\/strong>\u00a0in the Parliament. All the private security agencies need to have this&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/corpbiz.io\/psara-license\"><strong>PSARA\nLicense<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;before\nstarting their service.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The PSARA bill has been passed by both the Houses of the Parliament that is Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The PSARA bill received the consent of the President on June 23, 2005. PSARA License is allotted to these private security agencies at the state level, and these agencies need to obtain permission from the state controlling authority of their respective states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_The_Eligibility_Criteria_to_Apply_for_PSARA_License\"><\/span>What is The Eligibility Criteria to Apply for PSARA License?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are\nspecific specified eligibility criteria that any aspirants must fulfill to\nobtain this license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>The\neligibilities under the PSARA Act, 2005 are:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&nbsp;<em>Eligibility criteria for\nCompanies:<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In accordance\nwith the Private Security Agencies Act, 2005, any company who wants to register\nunder the PSARA License need to register itself as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Private Limited Company<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Limited Liability Partnership (LLP)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One Person Company (OPC)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sole Proprietorship<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Partnership Firm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Eligibility Criteria for\nDirector\/Officer<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>The applicant must be a resident of India.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The applicant must be financially stable to afford the cost of operations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Never had any criminal records.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Eligibility Criteria for Becoming a\nPrivate Security Guard:<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Following\nCriteria must be followed for becoming a security guard and getting appointed\nby the private security agencies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>The applicant must be the citizen of India.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The applicant age must be more than 18 and less than 65 years in age.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The applicant must have gone through the Security training.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The applicant should never have been terminated from the government service.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_are_The_Documents_Required_For_Obtaining_the_PSARA_License\"><\/span>What are The Documents Required For Obtaining the PSARA License?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The documents\nrequired vary from one state to another. The common documents required for\nobtaining the PSARA license is listed below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Certificate of Company\u2019s Incorporation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Signed MOA( Memorandum of Understanding)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Id proofs of the Security guard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identity proofs of all the Directors and employees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Address proof of the Registered Office<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The affidavit obtained under the PSARA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Logo for the Private security agency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PAN details of the promoters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Registration from ESI (Employees States Insurance)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Affidavit of the security training.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Documents of the PF (Provident Fund).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two photographs of promoters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy of ITR (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/corpbiz.io\/income-tax-return-filing\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Income Tax Return<\/strong><\/a>) of every Director.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Character certificate of all the employees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In the end, a duly filled application stating (PSARA License) is submitted to the controlling Authority of that particular region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Renewal_and_Expiration_Period_of_PSARA_License\"><\/span>Renewal and Expiration Period of PSARA License<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are\nspecific procedures which are being followed for the Renewal of PSARA License.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>The applicant has to make an application in not less than 90 days before the License expiry date.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The applicant needs to file for the PSARA License along with the documents prescribed under sections 6, 7 and 11 of the PSARA Act with the prescribed fee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Expiration_Period_of_PSARA_License\"><\/span>Expiration Period of PSARA License<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The PSARA\nlicense is valid only for five years from the date of issuance of the license.\nHowever, in states like Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, the\nvalidity is only one year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is the Registration Fee for Obtaining the License?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a\ndifferent registration fee for each of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>For One district \u2013 INR 5000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One to five districts \u2013 INR 10,000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For the entire state \u2013 &nbsp;INR 25,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Disqualification<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Following are\nthe criteria under which the Propose Director of the PSARA Agency cannot be\ndisqualified:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>If the Court has declared the person guilty for an offence, the imprisonment will be less than two years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the person is having a link with any organisation or association which is against the law and could harm the national security or public order.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the person is already fired from any of the government services due to their wicked behavior or character.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the organization is not registered in India or is having a partner or director outside the country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Cancellation_of_License\"><\/span>Cancellation of\nLicense<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The cancellation of license given to Private Security Agency can be done by the\ncontrolling officer on\nviolation of the any condition mentioned below:-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>The license was obtained by submitting incomplete and fake      documents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The license holders have used someone else\u2019s photographs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The license holder does not abide with the rules and provisions of  the PSARA act and violated it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Misuse of information relating to the PSARA license.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The private security agency is using someone else\u2019s name for carrying out the work rather than using the same name as at the time of obtaining license.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The license holder is not obliging with the guidelines and not providing the services according to the PSARA act.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The private security agency is not attentive and is negligent in performing their duties.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;The private security agency is engaged in anti-national activity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conclusion\"><\/span>Conclusion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, to conclude one can say that to hire any private security guard, the person need not worry much about it because every private security agencies must have the PSARA License before commencing their operations.
